Has had wind surgery since his last run with his lone win coming as a juvenile although he has run here before it hardly inspired. Now returns after a break stepping back in trip having run poorly on his last two starts; now with new yard.

Has run in better grade than this without success and his one win remains in a novice event over 5f on Tapeta. All his best form has come over this trip but it remains to be seen how he acts on this unique surface; has work to do at the weights.

Elliot The Dragonh1

Makes his debut with a hood on and although he has some winning relations in his pedigree he looks to face a tough task. Yards newcomers usually need the run and he's best watched for now.

Looked to show plenty of ability as a juvenile with a 5th in the Listed Windsor Castle showing up as his best run. Yet to win a race and makes his AW/Fibresand debut here after a long absence but is favoured by these weights.

Lope De Loop222
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-0| J: Gabriele Malune(5)| T: P D Evans
16/1
The only filly in the field her two runs so far have come on heavy ground last summer at Chepstow and Ffos Las over 6f. Like her stablemate she makes her AW/Fibresand debut but doesn't make the same appeal on form.

Forecasts

Haddaf (4/5), Last Page (2/1), Rantan (15/2), Lope De Loop (16/1), Elliot The Dragon (50/1)

Verdict

A rather weak contest in terms of depth which looks as though it will develop into a head-to-head between Haddaf and LAST PAGE. Neither have run on this surface before which adds to the difficulty of forecasting the outcome although the latter is favoured by the weights on official ratings. Rantan and Lope De Loop look as though they will contest the minor placing with neither having run to the level of the main two runners in this.
