Has now eased below his last winning mark and ran a sound enough race at Newcastle last time out when favourite in a better race than this. Will enjoy a return to the Fibresand and this C&D winner can make an impression in first-time cheekpieces.
Has plummeted down the handicap and has managed to be placed on a couple of occasions here over this trip. Fared poorly over a mile here last time out over a mile and his recent form isn't inspiring.
Now 6lb lower than his win here just over a year ago but hasn't won since and although he acts on this surface he's looked rather one paced of late. The step up to 7f may well help but he's not the most consistent.
Makes his stable/Fibresand debut although his sire doesn't have a great record here and that tempers enthusiasm. The yard have performed well here of late though and the visor goes on for the first-time in a bid to find some improvement.
Hardly needs any introduction around here but despite being back in this grade last time out, he still ran poorly. Tends to get well behind and did so last time out and he'll always need a strong pace to aim at to be seen to best advantage.
Has won here but his form over this trip is patchy to say the least and although his mark has fallen to a basement one, he can't be relied on. His last win came back in 2015 and even in this grade, others can be made a better case for.
Tried over this C&D twice without much success and his other Fibresand form doesn't inspire either. Ran to just a poor level last time on the Tapeta at Wolverhampton over this trip and it seemingly stretched him.
A three-time C&D winner but he's not an easy ride and most of his recent form is of a poor quality. The blinkers tried recently have failed to provide him with any zip and he is hard to recommend on his recent exploits.
Three runs in minor events have produced little (all over this trip) and hopes are now pinned on a switch to handicaps but does come from a yard with a good record here.
Forecasts
Mimic's Memory (15/8), Secret Glance (11/4), Scotch Myst (5/1), Limerick Lord (10/1), Zone In (10/1), General Tufto (14/1), Hugie Boy (16/1), Trust Me Boy (40/1), Traumatised (40/1)
Like the first division this isn’t a strong heat and MIMIC'S MEMORY can get back to winning ways here returned to the Fibresand off a reduced mark having run well in a better grade last time. Scotch Myst is another with winning form here and although that win came over shorter, a step up to this trip could help to see him return to better form. Most of the others are disappointing sorts who despite operating off reduced marks have plenty to prove at the moment and that may allow General Tufto to sneak into the places back down in grade. Zone In may be able to show more now with a yard that are going well but his sire’s statistics on Fibresand temper any enthusiasm.
- Mimic's Memory
- Scotch Myst
- General Tufto
