Rattled off a hat-trick in January with the last two wins coming over C&D. Most recently off a mark of 60 but he's shown that he can be competitive off higher marks and should be suited by a return here but needs delivering late.
Losing run continues to grow for this seven-time course winner (five C&D) and the handicapper is giving him a chance now. Ran well behind Archimedes over C&D last time out to finish second and much better off at the weights with that one now.
Seemingly returned to form since wind surgery and has won twice over C&D in his last five starts. Did appear to run well above himself last time out from well out of the handicap but 6lb above his highest winning mark now.
Makes his Fibresand debut on fourth start for this yard (previously with Michael Dods). No obvious signs a return to form is imminent but back below his last winning mark now and sire has had winners on this surface from limited representation.
Well beaten on both statrs here to date and remains 5lb above his last winning mark although he has been running well on Tapeta recently. Needs to prove he can be as effective on Fibresand.
More effective on turf than AW although she has managed to finish in the frame over C&D once. Not seen since the middle of last year though and likely to need this taking on some sprinting specialists at the track.
Unreliable sort who is 0/11 here and looks to be getting more temperamental (reluctant to start on his last Flat outing). 10lb out of the handicap over a trip that is surely too short and not hard to pass over.

Something Lucky (11/8), Crosse Fire (7/2), Archimedes (4/1), Sir Hector (4/1), Run With Pride (8/1), Foxy Boy (10/1), Socialites Red (20/1), Port Lairge (150/1)
Some in form Fibresand sprinters are on display here and it should make for a competitive start to the card. If Archimedes can repeat his form of last time out which came in a much better grade he would be a danger to all but there is a slight question mark over that form and he does face a tough task at the weights with CROSSE FIRE. Scott Dixon’s charge has been given a chance by the handicapper and handles this surface well and it will be no surprise to see him return to winning form. Something Lucky has to enter the equation but despite his good C&D form he does need everything to fall right for him. Sir Hector has proved that he can win off this mark and ran into a well handicapped one last time out while Foxy Boy would be of interest if he takes to this surface.
