Made a relatively quiet return to action from a lengthy break at Kempton last month, but usually takes a run or two to hit fever pitch. Current mark demands a career-best, but she is capable of being among the prize money.
Showed a bit of ability in a couple of maidens for Philip McBride last year and won one over C&D on her first start for this trainer. Disappointed when favourite but last of four on handicap debut back over C&D last time. Bit to prove after that.
Has yet to win a race over further than 5f and tries this trip for the first time. Pedigree gives cause for optimism that she will last home and given that she is back on her last winning mark, she could go very well.
Yet to add to her debut win in a Kempton maiden (1m) in 2016. Has run several good races in handicaps since, including going very close at Lingfield last time. Drops in trip while also being nudged up 2lb, so needs to eek out more.
Scored over this trip at Doncaster (good to firm) in July when on today's mark and has not been able to match that in three runs from higher marks. Handled Newcastle's Tapeta well enough and drop in class/5lb claim could bring her into this.
Didn't appear to get this trip when twice tried in 2014, but recent efforts over 6f suggest that it should be within range these days. Goes well here and is on a competitive mark, so a bold showing would not surprise.
Broke her duck at the 11th attempt over 5f at Lingfield in December, when 6lb lower and in lesser company. Not disgraced back there over 6f last time, but looks up against it over this trip and in this grade.
1-17, that sole success being over 1m4f at Dundalk last April from 1lb lower. Drops back to this trip for the first time in two years and was well held on stable debut over 1m½f here last time from this mark. Others preferred.
Arrives on a hat-trick after wins at Chelmsford (1m) and here (1m½f) last month. Up another 3lb for latest success and in a slightly stronger contest here, but she is in the form of her life and should not be underestimated.
Former Harry Dunlop inmate who was unable to build on the promise of her Salisbury debut (7f) for him in October 2016, in three subsequent runs. Now makes stable/handicap debut in headgear on first run in 14-months. Market check suggested.
Yet to make the frame in 10 starts. Best efforts so far were over this trip on turf when with John Quinn, but 11lb out of the handicap here and unlikely to be breaking her duck.
Forecasts
Delilah Park (11/4), Naralsaif (9/2), Assanilka (5/1), Poppy In The Wind (11/2), Helfire (7/1), Met By Moonlight (9/1), Fruit Salad (11/1), Acadian Angel (14/1), Ruby Gates (66/1), Bataka (66/1), She's Zoff (125/1)
A competitive opener where the suggestion is FRUIT SALAD, who is back on a winning mark and unexposed over this trip, which she tries for the first time. Helfire could present a danger to the selection along with Acadian Angel, while Polly In The Wind, hat-trick seeking Naralsaif and Delilah Park could all be in the shake-up.
- Fruit Salad
- Poppy In The Wind
- Helfire
