In good form this winter but now 13lb higher than three runs ago. Won well over C&D on Boxing Day and not disgraced since at Ayr in heavy ground. Should go well again despite top weight.

Ex-Irish gelding still a maiden after 15 races. In touch until blundering 3 out last time on first start since wind op, and went close over C&D in September. Dropped 3lb since last run and top jockey on board..

Trainer 4-8 in recent times at this track and this is his only runner here. Respectable efforts last two starts in the south, and jockey booking this time catches the eye. Should be right in the mix.

21-race maiden has shown patchy form since joining current yard in November 2016. Ran well under today's rider at Catterick penultimate start but poor effort last time when pulled up. Inconsistent, and others make more appeal.

Some irony in the name and has yet to strike in 23 attempts. Shown very little in six starts since joining current yard from Ireland and is hard to fancy despite lowly mark.

Very moderate both over hurdles and fences and still a maiden after 22 races. Difficult to muster any enthusiasm for his chance having unseated at the second fence at Musselburgh last time.

2lb out of the handicap. Well beaten last seven starts but only two wins (from 48) have come over C&D, most recently last March. Low weight here but needs to recover some form before being taken seriously.

Forecasts

Roxyfet (6/4), Money For Nothing (2/1), Black Kettle (6/1), Mr Witmore (8/1), Frankie Ballou (12/1), Duhallowcountry (25/1), Rapid Fritz (25/1)

Verdict

MONEY FOR NOTHING is his yard's only runner of the day and makes the long journey to Sedgefield from Somerset. He's in decent form, and it will be a long way home if he fails to land the spoils. Black Kettle may be better for his first run since a wind op and has a top man on board today so comes into the reckoning in a poor race, along with the in-form Roxyfet who has caught the handicapper's eye of late. It's hard to enthuse over the other four, although veteran Duhallow County has run well here on occasions.
  1. Money For Nothing
  2. Roxyfet
  3. Black Kettle
