Captain Gerrard colt and first foal of a moderate dam who was placed on the AW. Unappealing pedigree and highly tried on debut.
80,000 gns son of Mayson with plenty of speed on the dam's side of the pedigree. Overcame greenness to narrowly score on debut and, although the form is not strong, this represents a good opportunity to follow up.
First foal by City Zip out of the French/US 1m-1m4f winner Preferential. His dam was a half-sister to 6f juvenile winner Rule Of Nature. Never a factor on debut and major improvement needed.
Gelded son of Bated Breath who cost 22,000 gns as a foal and is a half-brother to 7f winner Ejaaby out of a dam who won over 7f. Well-held on debut here in September and has been given more time to develop.
Sepoy colt out of an unraced half-sister to 1m Listed winner Law Of The Range and useful 7f-1m1f winner High Court Drama. Stable can get one ready fist time out and the market is usually a clue when they do.
Cheap purchase who has shown modest ability and has a poor draw here. Looks a more likely type for a low grade handicap one day.
Showed a bit more last time when stepped up to a mile. Drop in distance may do him no favours and he is one to note for handicaps in the future.
Gelded half-brother to fibresand winner placed He's A Lad. Dam won six races including three on polytrack. Yard have shown a level stakes profit of 53 points with this age group here over the past five seasons.
Has made moderate late headway for remote finishes on two runs here. Shapes like he will come into his own over further and when handicapping.
Has failed to beat a rival in either start and improbable the fitting of a hood will be enough to win this.
Son of New Approach who is a half-brother to 10 winners from 7f to 1m3f. Did well to finish third from off the pace last time when it paid to be lie up close to the front. The fourth has won since and he looks destined to go close.

Holy Roman Emperor filly who fetched €8,000 as a yearling and is a half-sister to a couple of middle-distance winner. Did not take the home bend at all well at Lingfield on debut and she may do better going right-handed on this flatter circuit.

Lord Oberon did well to defy his inexperience to score on his Southwell debut. The form is not particularly exciting but the potential for more makes him a worthy adversary. TRIBAL WARRIOR came up against a stronger field here last time and did well to come from off the pace to take third in a race dominated by those who were ridden prominently. The 7lb he receives from Lord Oberon could be decisive. Marco Botti saddles a pair of newcomers, Capla Jaipur and Cyclades, so market moves for either would be noteworthy.
