Interesting newcomer for a stable that do well with their runners here and have had a couple of bumper winners already this year. Dam was a 3m hurdle winner who was also a half-sister to useful bumper/hurdler Bags Groove; worth watching in the market.

Just the one run so far in a Warwick bumper where he started at 33/1 and finished well held. Ran green there and may know more here but looks an unlikely winner.
Yard can and do have winners in this sphere and she makes her debut here with the dam having won over hurdles. May need this run though on her debut in what looks a reasonable bumper.

Debutante from a yard that don't have that many bumper runners (1/20 last five years). Dam showed very little form when seen on the Flat and over jumps although she is a half-sister to smart staying chaser L'Ami; best watched on this occasion.

Three runs so far in bumpers but she has failed to build on what was a promising first effort at Lingfield on the AW. Will need to show more to make her mark here and others preferred.

Given a tough start in bumpers when hinting at ability in a Cheltenham Listed event over 1m6f. Managed to build on that promise in slightly easier company last time out at Huntingdon (had the run of the race) and one of the more likely types here.
Yard not in the best of form at the moment (just 2/33 in last month) although he did show plenty of ability on his debut (best of the newcomers). Took second on that occasion (form yet to be tested) and should go well here although the quiet spell of the yard is a worry.

Half-brother to an ungenuine and modest chaser in Breezy Kin he makes his debut here for a yard that are yet to have a bumper winner. Looks one for the longer-term and hard to recommend this time around.
9
Horse silk
20/1
Another debutante from a mainly Flat yard who are 0/7 over the past five years in this sphere. This will be their first bumper runner of the year and although he's a half-brother to four winners on the Flat at up to 1m2f he's best watched for now.

Forecasts

Melekhov (5/6), Arch My Boy (7/2), Imperial Knight (15/2), Midnight Monsoon (10/1), Mrs Bellamy (12/1), Sirobbie (18/1), Ultimate Climax (20/1), Oborne Lady (25/1), Mr Snips (100/1)

Verdict

Melekhov makes his second start having shaped well on his debut but his stable is going through a quiet spell at the moment and he faces a couple of decent rivals here who may well be able to give him a race. The Olly Murphy yard are always to be respected here and his Mahler newcomer IMPERIAL KNIGHT is an interesting runner giving his pedigree and he may be able to cause a slight surprise. Arch My Boy looks to be another who is progressing gradually in bumpers and may well take a hand with Midnight Monsoon another debutante who should be noted if there is any interest in the market.
  1. Imperial Knight
  2. Arch My Boy
  3. Melekhov
