Brother to a bumper winner and a half-brother to three winners and was well backed on his debut over C&D winning in the style of a good prospect by 10L. Handled the heavy ground well on that occasion (quickened well) and sure to make a bold bid to defy his penalty.
Hooded for his debut at Fontwell (there are some temperamental sorts in his pedigree) and showed some promise on that run. That form hasn't been tested yet but he's entitled to build on that run and show more here.
Cost €52,000 and is a half-brother bumper winner/useful hurdler Forge Meadow; hooded for debut. Comes from a top yard who have a good record in bumpers this year (7/19) and well worth watching in the market.
Stable have a very poor record in bumpers with just one winner from 59 runners in this sphere in the past five years. Dam was a multiple winning point-to-pointer but best watched for now unless the market suggests otherwise.
Brother to a winner and cost €32,000 with other winning relations in his pedigree. Yard not quite as prolific in this sphere as usual this season and this one may be best watched on debut.
From a top yard but they have a very poor strike rate in bumpers (just 1/20 this season) and she was struggling from halfway on her debut at Wincanton. Hard to work up much enthusiasm for her chance here in the face of some decent opposition.
Forecasts
Time To Move On (30/100), Gaucho Gil (11/2), Bang On (10/1), Just Midas (14/1), Here's Bingo (25/1), Burn Valley (40/1)
TIME TO MOVE ON is amongst the more fancied contenders for the Cheltenham bumper and he’ll need to carry his penalty here maintain his position in the market here having looked a smart prospect when winning over C&D at the end of last year. He faces a couple of decent rivals here in Bang On (respectable debut) and an interesting newcomer from a powerful yard who are going well in this sphere this season in Gaucho Gil. Just Midas is the other one to enter the picture although his yard are performing below expectations with their bumper runners and unless there is market support for him he’s best watched here.
- Time To Move On
- Gaucho Gil
- Bang On
