Speedy sort who made all when scoring over C&D last month then looked uncomfortable on the track when just beaten at Kempton last time. Concedes weight and likely to be taken on for the lead so no easy task.
Returns after being gelded having previously hinted that a drop back to this minimum trip might suit. Likes to bowl along and could face competition up front so interesting to see how he fares.
Kheleyf colt who has shown a little ability in two starts so far. Led till headed inside distance at Wolverhampton last time when fair runner-up. First try at 5f and should be in the mix.
By Fast Company, bought for £20,000 at the Breeze Up's last year but gelded and didn't run as a juvenile. Fair debut third at Southwell, keeping on near finish. Pedigree suggests he'll need further in time.
22,000 guineas daughter of Mayson out of middle-distance winning mare. Mixed messages in pedigree. Yard had a winner earlier this week so might be worth looking out for any positive market signals on debut.
Captain Gerrard filly out of a dam who won over 5f. Looked as though she'd be better for outing when fifth of 6 on debut at Lingfield last month but will need to take a big step forward to get involved.

Gabrial The Devil (5/4), Grandfather Tom (5/2), Sir Hector (7/2), Hornby (8/1), Shortbackandsides (10/1), Q Twenty Boy (16/1), Purple Dragon (33/1), Maison Wix (33/1)
SHORTBACKANDISDES might just pick up the pieces with three confirmed front runners in this dash. He was slowly away before recovering to chase the leaders at Southwell, only to tire in the deep ground late. He'll know more this time. C&D winner Sir Hector should again be on the premises after struggling with the track last time at Kempton, while both Gabrial The Devil and Grandfather Tom can also get involved. Hornby is not ruled either in a tricky heat.
