Fibresand-specialist who looked on good terms with himself when scoring emphatically at Southwell last week. Every chance under a penalty if repeating that form here but it is an "if" considering he remains unconvincing away from Southwell.
Three times an AW winner during the first half of last year but then went off the boil. For all that, her mark is now 8lb lower than her last win and she hinted at a revival at Southwell latest. New headgear.
Twice a winner here from only four attempts and hasn't been entirely discredited over hurdles this winter. Returns to the AW on a workable mark and booking of Luke Morris takes the eye considering he won twice on him in 2016.
Dual-purpose performer who has shown up well in both Flat starts since returning from a spell hurdling, finishing third over 2m at Lingfield in December. Blinkers back on instead of cheekpieces, likely to make presence felt.
One-time Mark Johnston inmate who has never kicked on for a variety of trainers, showing nothing in either start on the AW this winter. Tongue-strap reached for, others preferred despite his tumbling mark.
Won a Fakenham bumper back in 2016 and produced best Flat effort when going close over this C&D in October 2016. First run since when tailed off over 1m4f at Kempton last month so probably best watched for now.
Winner of 11 of his 68 starts, including on his only previous attempt over this C&D, and advertised his present well-being by finishing a 1L second over an extended 1m4f at Newcastle last time. Respected.
Off the mark at the 24th attempt when winning over C&D last month and almost defied a penalty over slightly further here next time when just touched off. More to do now but another bold bid anticipated.
Forecasts
Luv U Whatever (5/2), Langlauf (10/3), Volpone Jelois (5/1), Marshall Aid (5/1), Samtu (7/1), Eurato (8/1), Potters Lady Jane (20/1), Bostonian (28/1)
Fibresand-specialist Samtu was again impressive at Southwell last time but has always been vulnerable elsewhere, so it may be that Marjorie Fife's other runner, Luv U Whatever, carries the stable's hopes having gone well at Newcastle last time. Velone Jelois and Marshall Aid have plenty to recommend them but one of Langlauf or EURATO could throw up some value, with the latter just preferred on the basis of Luke Morris' booking (successful on both previous rides).
- Eurato
- Luv U Whatever
- Volpone Jelois
