Talented hurdler who looks equally promising over fences, winning two of his three starts so far. Has been winning over further and there is a suspicion he may find this a little on the sharp side.
Looked booked for third when both of his rivals fell at the same fence at Catterick last time. Had previously shaped well behind decent sorts at the same track and at Carlisle, so there is every reason to believe he should be competitive again.
Good handicap hurdler who got off the mark over fences at Market Rasen (3m) last time. Another who might prefer a stiffer test of stamina, but has to be considered.
Won three times over hurdles for Neil Mulholland and shaped well in a competitive handicap at Ascot on first start for current trainer. Made a winning chasing debut at Doncaster and looks sure to give another bold account with conditions to suit.
Most experienced member of the field with 12 starts over fences, winning one of them. Consistent, but is pitched against some talented rivals and is likely to come up short.
Forecasts
Barney Dwan (13/8), Peter The Mayo Man (9/4), Keeper Hill (5/2), Alzammaar (10/1), Martiloo (25/1)
Keeper Hill and Barney Dwan are useful prospects over fences, but both would ideally prefer further so this looks another good opportunity for PETER THE MAYO MAN, who won well over 2m3f on is chasing debut at Doncaster and may be a little too speedy for his main rivals. Alzammaar is not out of it, but Martiloo has quite a bit to find at this level.
