Already onto his third yard having won over C&D on his debut for David O'Meara and then just had the one run for Richard Fahey at Wolverhampton (raced too free). Now with another new yard he makes his debut for them back on his favoured surface off a 2lb lower mark.

Twice a winner over 5f (once over C&D) she was actually unlucky not to win on her Fibresand debut when hampered in the closing stages. Confirmed the promise of that run here last time out and although she's gone up 8lb for that win looks a progressive sort.

The only one of the quartet that has to yet try this surface her breeding suggests that she will act on it as she makes her handicap debut. Has run too free in some of her races and needs to settle better but not totally ruled out here.

By far the most experienced on this surface (this will be his 6th run here) and has run well on it in the face of some stiff tasks (took on his elders on his penultimate start). Back against his own age group last time and coped well with the drop to 5f and should make a bold bid again.

Forecasts

Magic Pulse (13/8), Samovar (2/1), Jasi (4/1), Mount Victoria (5/1)

Verdict

A very tight and tricky little contest although the progressive MAGIC PULSE looked good enough last time to overcome an 8lb rise for that win her two runs here showing that she has really taken to the surface. Samovar looked as though he coped with the 5f trip here last time although that wasn’t in a handicap and it may be that the unbeaten Jasi is the one to provide the most danger. Mount Victoria completes the line-up and despite not having had any experience of this surface she’s not totally written off.
