Changed hands for 105,000 guineas as a yearling, having cost less as a foal. A half-brother to three winners and dam won up to 1m. but already gelded ahead of his debut. Market should guide.

By Canford Cliffs and a half-brother to no fewer than seven winners, most notably the useful dual-purpose performer Triumphant. Cost €32,000 as a yearling and worth a look with yard going well.

Kitten's Joy colt out of a US dam who won over 1m. Cost $120,000 yearling but only fourth when sent off odds-on for his debut over 1m2f at Chelmsford. Looked a hard ride that day but cheekpieces and a longer trip may help.

Not lived up to a 250,000 guineas price-tag in four runs, though produced arguably his best effort last time when a close third behind Roundabout Kitten over 1m2f at Lingfield. Cheekpieces reach for as he steps up in trip.
By Dylan Thomas out of a hurdle-winning dam. Yard has had a few winners recently but already gelded ahead of his debut and doesn't jump out as a debutant winner.
Fair pedigree being a half-sister to numerous winners but only moderate promise in two runs, most recently when a 12L runner-up behind easy winner, Perfect Illusion in a maiden auction over 1m4f at Lingfield. More needed here.

Caught the eye when finishing fifth over an inadequate 1m at Kempton first time out and was again noted running on when third over an extended 1m1f at Wolverhampton next time. Should revel over this longer trip, respected.
Sea The Stars filly who cost €80,000 as a foal but changed hands for much less as a yearling. Little immediate promise when 8L adrift of Genuinely Crowded in the maiden auction won easily by Perfect Illusion at Lingfield.

Forecasts

Native Arrow (15/8), Shakour (9/4), Genuinely Crowded (6/1), Pilgrim Soul (13/2), Mercer's Troop (10/1), Victoria Drummond (12/1), Lucky Lover Boy (25/1), The Accountant (25/1)

Verdict

Native Arrow proved a disappointment when not doing anything quickly on his debut but the combination of some experience to draw on, the introduction of cheekpieces, and a longer trip should see him in a better light. The step up in distance comment should also apply to the hitherto frustrating Shakour but even more pertinently to the less exposed PILGRIM SOUL who has really taken the eye in both starts over shorter so far.
  1. Pilgrim Soul
  2. Native Arrow
  3. Shakour
