Winner of four races over the minimum trip for Robert Cowell. Just 1lb above his last winning AW mark, but questions to answer on debut for new yard at this trip.
Has improved since dropping to this trip. Looking exposed now and more needed in this company from this mark.
Failed to settle last time after seven months off. Should get a truer pace this time and looked better class than this during the summer.
Off the track since gaining a first turf success in August. All three career victories have come at 5f although he has gone close over C&D in the past. Has struggled from similar marks to today's and that makes him opposable.
3-13 record with all those victories coming on AW tracks. Brave effort over 7f last time and has a decent draw if wanting to force the pace once more.
Below her best lately but back below her last winning mark and 2-3 at this circuit. Well drawn if market indicates she is ready to bounce back.
Has won here five times and has taken a real shine to Lingfield lately where he has won three low grade races lately. More to do this time on debut for new yard, but mark is within his capabilities.
Well-handicapped on best form of 2016 for James Tate, but last year's efforts for this yard were generally poor apart from one run here. Hard to evaluate, but a tough draw may be enough to oppose her.
Has missed the break recently and that has not helped him around tighter circuits than this where there has been a lack of pace. Should be happier here and a stronger gallop looks assured.
Subject of a gamble on return to action three weeks ago. The trip proved too sharp that day and having won here over 7f, this trip and strong pace will be to his advantage. Rider has a 25% strike rate for the yard on AW tracks.
Forecasts
Daschas (5/2), Blazed (4/1), Sparkalot (9/2), Envisaging (5/1), Dutiful Son (12/1), September Issue (14/1), Dusky Maid (14/1), Jameerah (16/1), Curious Fox (25/1), Just Us Two (100/1)
A case can be made for many in this, but SPARKALOT was an impressive winner of two races here last year and held a Commonwealth Cup entry. That confirmed the impression that he is probably better class than these and he can take this at the expense of Daschas who has a chance to shine over this trip. Blazed will appreciate the pace and the longer straight here, whilst Dusky Maid is drawn to attack from the front and could be hard to catch.
- Sparkalot
- Daschas
- Dusky Maid
