Twice a winner around here at shorter trips she now tries this mile having looked more suited to the 7f trip she won over last time off a 7lb lower mark. That win now takes her up to a career high mark but she is experienced on Fibresand and that can count for a lot.

Showed her best form when running well at Newcastle off a 4lb lower mark on her penultimate run and ran to just about the same level last time out. Has the stamina for this trip and the cheekpieces go on for the first time as she makes her Fibresand debut.

Nine weeks off and a switch to the Fibresand appeared to work the trick for this one as she really appreciated the surface. She's unexposed over this trip but she takes a fairly hefty 11lb hike in the weights plus a rise in grade for a 3L win last time.

Saw plenty of racing as a juvenile but that didn't stop him winning on his Fibresand debut and shaped well on his only other start here (got in a poor position). Back to winning ways last time out but up in grade and on a career high mark now.

Only shown modest form so far having run in just three maidens and was well below form switched to this surface last time out over 7f. Now makes his handicap debut trying a mile again although he is from a sprinting family and this might test him.

Verdict

Just five go to post here and they can all be given some sort of chance but despite top weight HELEN SHERBET looks to be still improving and the further she has gone the better she has looked and she has plenty of experience on Fibresand now. Couldn’t Could She is relatively unexposed but does have to cope with a rise in the weights and grade as does Mr Carbonator although both have shown the ability to cope with Fibresand. Sharp Reminder makes her Fibresand debut and is the only one of the five strong field yet to experience this unique surface but she could prove of interest if she takes to it.
  1. Helen Sherbet
  2. Mr Carbonator
  3. Couldn't Could She
