Won his first two starts on Fibresand for his previous yard (Conor Dore) but failed to get anywhere near that level when only beating one home in a claimer over C&D last time. Now back in handicaps he's 7lb above his last winning mark and that may prove too much of a test for him.

Moved well through his initial start on Fibresand which came in claiming company (Throckley well beaten off) and looks well up to running a sound race having returned to handicaps at Chelmsford over 1m2f last time. A repeat of that run off the same mark would see him go close here.

His sire Multiplex has a 12% strike-rate here and he's slipped back down below his last winning mark which came on turf in the summer. Ran over hurdles last time (looked in need of the experience) and now returns to the Flat for his first experience on this unique surface.

Won three times on the AW last season (showed signs of temperament on occasions) but hasn't run that well on synthetics of late and now gives the Fibresand an initial try. Dropped back below her last winning mark with blinkers on for first time and worth a try here given her sire.

Just the one try here before when ridden by an apprentice and now a fully-fledged rider takes over. Ran quite a decent race last time out when taking a strong hold after a layoff and off the same mark can be given a chance again here.

Scored back-to-back wins (maiden then on handicap debut) in 2015 but has only run twice since those victories. Shaped as though he retained all his ability when returning from that long layoff last time at Kempton but needs to prove that he can back that run up; on Fibresand for the first time.

Trainer has already established himself with a good record here and it's interesting that he now tries this daughter of Dalakhani here after she disappointed last time out (blinkers on for first time. The headgear is retained here as she bids to bounce back; possibly needs a little more help from the handicapper

Consistent sort around here who looks to have found his feet of late and his C&D record now reads 2312 although his overall record of 1/23 does temper enthusiasm. Ran well enough last time but suspicion is that even this 2lb higher mark than his last win might find him out.

Just the one previous run here over 1m3f on her comeback/stable debut run looked to leave her with plenty to find. Certainly went backwards from that run last time out at Newcastle and comes here with questions to answer.

Forecasts

Maifalki (13/8), Epitaph (7/2), Jabbaar (5/1), Diaktoros (13/2), Erinyes (12/1), Langlauf (16/1), Multellie (16/1), Throckley (16/1), Vigee Le Brun (50/1)

Verdict

A few interesting debutantes on this surface are on parade here and it may pay to watch the market with the likes of Erinyes and the first-time blinkered Langlauf. Diaktoros is another who makes his debut on Fibresand here and if he can back up his last run then he must be respected. Ultimately though MAIFALKI shaped well on this surface last time travelling well through the race he looks well up to scoring in handicaps. Jabbaar has his quirks but he looked at home here last time out as does the consistent Epitaph who could well add another positive form figures to his C&D numbers.
  1. Maifalki
  2. Epitaph
  3. Diaktoros
