Unraced second foal by Fracas out of Carramanagh Lady. Cost €15,000 as a three-year-old, and is a half-brother to the Donald McCain trained 2m-3m1f hurdle/chase winner Court Dismissed. Wears a hood.
A €110,000 three-year-old Flemensfirth gelding. Dam was a maiden bumper/hurdler, half-sister to bumper winner/useful hurdler Dusky Lord. Capable of going well and market check required. Wears a hood.
Chucked in at the deep end last month on debut in Listed Ascot bumper (good to soft) and ran a fine race to be close third having gone off 50/1. Repeat of that effort may well suffice to get off the mark here.
Saddler Maker mare is a half-sister to useful hurdler/very smart chaser Module. Second runner for trainer in this field and stablemate sets the standard to aim at.
Out of a half-sister to Best Mate but hasn't looked like living up to her pedigree so far, finishing well beaten in bumpers at Exeter and Newbury. Plenty to prove after 300+ days off.
Forecasts
The Flying Sofa (4/9), Fontsanta (7/2), Thank You Before (8/1), Bang On (14/1), The Imitation Game (20/1), Floral Queen (33/1)
THE FLYING SOFA made a more than decent impression when defying his odds to run a close third on debut in a strong Listed bumper at Ascot last month. A reproduction of that effort will likely be enough to get him on the board now, while there's a strong chance he is going be all the better for his run. Those that have run don't appeal much so the selection may have most to fear from newcomers Fontsanta and his stablemate Thank You Before.
