Won over 7f at this track for James Tate and was third of nine in Listed company at Lingfield. Probably needed his first run for new stable last week and should be a more potent threat this time.

Reiffa23

Made her racecourse debut over Christmas at Wolverhampton and obliged in good style. Steps up 1f, but that should not be an issue and she is open to plenty of improvement.

Only two starts so far and the second of them saw him finish fourth behind Reiffa. Pull in the weights and longer trip may enable him to get a lot closer.

Well held in novice events at Kempton and Lingfield. Will probably do better in handicaps and stable looks to have a stronger contender in Volatile.

Second on debut at Yarmouth, but failed to back that up at Windsor next time. Obviously has ability, but may be one for handicaps next time.

Has shown an aversion to the starting stalls on both starts, but has revealed ability and may be able to make his presence felt if expending less energy before the off.

Voice Of Dubai6
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-12| J: J Mitchell| T: H Palmer

Easy to back when fifth of eight at Newcatle on debut. Should improve a good, deal for the experience and his stable is always to be respected.

Forecasts

Reiffa (2/5), Cloud Eight (6/1), Volatile (10/1), Global Pass (12/1), Voice Of Dubai (16/1), Elite Shadow (25/1), Darkest Light (50/1)

Verdict

An interesting contest in which Volatile sets the standard. He has to concede plenty of weight, however, and the three-year-olds, REIFFA and Cloud Eight, may prove too strong. The selection is not guaranteed to confirm recent Wolverhampton form on these terms, but made a good impression on debut and may be open to significant improvement. Global Pass and Voice Of Dubai look best of the rest.
  1. Reiffa
  2. Cloud Eight
  3. Volatile
