Has been a revelation since joining this yard, rattling off four successes including at Lingfield yesterday. Finds himself off a 20lb higher mark than the first of those successes, but has to be taken seriously despite a modest draw.
Only win in 15 AW starts came over 6f at Kempton in October. Has to cope with a 7lb higher mark and looks in the grip of the handicapper for the time being.
One win from eight starts on turf and only run on the AW saw him finish in mid-division over 7f at Wolverhampton. Connections reach for first-time cheekpieces in a bid to find extra.
Well held on last three starts at this track, but those were over 7f and 1m and he has dropped 5lb since the first of them. First-time cheekpieces will need to have a positive effect if he is to figure.
Latest of five wins on the AW came at Wolverhampton off 2lb lower last month. Has to prove his effectiveness at this track and last two efforts have not been encouraging.
Five-race maiden who has posted a couple of decent efforts over 6f on AW surfaces. Early days for him, but he needs to settle better than last time when he finished last of 11 at Kempton.
Won a 6f Wolverhampton claimer in June, but three subsequent displays - the most recent after a break - have been disappointing. Dropping down the weights, but needs to up his game.
Still looking for his first win after 34 starts, 10 of them on the AW. Only 1lb higher than when second at Lingfield two starts ago, but hard to fancy for win purposes given his record.
Only four outings so far and two of them since being gelded have not been particularly encouraging. Has been dropped 6lb since his handicap debut last time, but has plenty to prove.
Made virtually all to win at Lingfield last month and has run creditably on both starts since off this mark. In good heart and likely to make another bold bid.
Has shaped well twice at this track since joining current yard from Joseph Tuite. Behind Billyoakes at Wolverhampton last time, but return to this course and falling handicap mark offer hope.
Veteran of 85 races, winning nine of them, and is effective over C&D. Not at his best recently, but has dropped to an appealing mark and is not ruled out.
Winner of two races on turf, but is 0-8 on the AW. Not disgraced on his last three starts, but no real signs of him defying his current handicap mark.
Landed a 6f Wolverhampton handicap last month, his first win in 17 starts, but held off 4lb higher over the same C&D earlier this month. Back down 1lb and has an each-way shout.
Forecasts
Spare Parts (5/2), Spin Top (6/1), El Torito (6/1), Lanjano (8/1), Hisar (8/1), Haraz (10/1), Desert Fox (14/1), Run With Pride (16/1), Billyoakes (16/1), Alfonso Manana (20/1), Out Of The Ashes (20/1), Vroom (25/1), Malaysian Boleh (33/1), De Little Engine (50/1)
Top-weight Spare Parts is the obvious starting point in his current mood, but he has shot up the weights and has plenty to do off his lofty mark. At the other end of the handicap, Hisar has each-way claims, but the selection is BILLYOAKES, who is in good form and can run off a feasible rating. Spin Top and Lanjano are also worthy of consideration.
- Billyoakes
- Spare Parts
- Spin Top
