Not a contest to whet the appetite but it is notable that Irish trainer Adrian Joyce has targeted a race in this grade with his sole runner at the track today in BLASTOFMAGIC. He ran a decent race over this trip at Dundalk in November, overcoming some traffic in doing so. He was just touched off over 6f at Wolverhampton in March and could certainly be up to landing a race like this with in-form Stevie Donohoe on his back. Billy's Boots is worth noting in the betting having gone close over C&D in the past while similar comments apply to Camino coming back from a break. La Fortuna and Swift Fox both have recent runs at Chelmsford that give them reason to be hopeful.
