Went for 70,000 gns as a yearling and is a half-sister to several useful types. Improved for her debut when runner-up last time but will need some of these to underperform.

Second in the Prestige Stakes as a juvenile and third in the Fred Darling when last seen in April. Clear pick on form but absence does warrant a cautious view.

Fifth foal and a Dark Angel half-sister to three winners including Carry On Derryck and Tarboosh. Stable 1-37 with this age group here over past five years.

90,000 gns yearling. Half-sister to winners Symposium (6f-6½f, inc GB AW at two) and Orfeon (Spanish 7f-7½f). Came from a long way back on Lingfield debut and it would be hoped she would improve for the run and this more orthodox track.

Sister to the stable's triple winning handicapper Luxford. Aiming high on debut and will probably need further.

Has shown signs of ability in a couple of modest Wolverhampton maidens and faces a much sterner test here.

£100,000 yearling but sold for just 6,000 guineas recently after just one start for Richard Fahey. Showed some ability that day but not enough to suggest she will be a major player here.

Has not quite got home in two starts over a mile so worth a try at this trip. Finds herself in a much hotter race this time and she may be one for a minor handicap.

Elusive Quality half-sister to good sprinter Peterkin out of a dam representing a speedy Australian line. Interesting newcomer from an in-form yard and one to track in pre-race trading.

Tough Lass17
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-10| J: L Morris| T: G Peckham
33/1
€80,000 yearling. Closely related to Italian 1m juvenile winner Sagegrey, half-sister to 1m2f winner Chocolate Diamond. Odds of 66/1 suggest her debut was needed and it could be a similar story again.

Forecasts

Promising (1/1), Sayf Shamal (5/1), Peace Terms (6/1), Cosmic Love (13/2), Be My Angel (14/1), La Mernancia (16/1), Now Say Yes (20/1), Lulu Star (33/1), Dolly Mixture (33/1), Tough Lass (33/1)

Verdict

PROMISING is the clear standout on form but a nine month absence and significant drop in class do suggest the risk/reward ratio may be too high if odds are prohibitive. Sayf Shamal is a well-bred Godolphin newcomer and Cosmic Love looked a future winner at Lingfield. Peace Terms was runner-up in a much weaker race last time but is going the right way and has place claims.
