Has shown the ability to go close in AW maiden/novices recently and should be able to get off the mark sooner than later, but has to concede plenty of weight to all of these as the only four-year-old in the field.
Drops in trip from his Kempton debut over 7f. Looked like he probably wanted further, not shorter on that occasion and so only makes limited appeal.
Very promising on debut at Kempton last time when finishing second despite showing some signs of his inexperience. If improving as he should he could prove tough to beat here.
Not overly impressive in two starts at Nottingham last year but improved somewhat between them and could progress again on AW debut having been off since August.
Not disgraced by any means on debut at Kempton last time out over this trip. Shaped as if further would suit him better in time but should still improve on that performance here.
Ran fairly well on debut at Chelmsford (6f, standard) last time out, especially given he was sent off 50/1. Still needs plenty of improvement to figure in this.
Didn't do himself any favours when finishing eighth on debut over this C&D last time out but even if putting in a more professional performance here looks highly likely to come up short.
Accclamation filly who cost £24,000 as a two-year-old. Sister/half-sister to several winners, including on the AW, but this trip is likely to prove a minimum going forward.
Acclamation filly who cost 78,000gns as a yearling. Half-sister to a three time winner, including at this course, and more than worth a check in the market on debut.
Forecasts
Breathless Times (8/11), Kingofmerrows (6/1), Global Pass (6/1), Wide Acclaim (9/1), Charles Fox (10/1), Daze Out (18/1), Grandfather Tom (25/1), Arnoul Of Metz (66/1), Harbour Pilot (100/1)
BREATHLESS TIMES made a very promising debut at Kempton last time out when shaping as if there should be plenty more to come when only beaten by a progressive winner. He should be able to improve himself to get off the mark here and is certainly the one to beat. Global Pass is another who made an encouraging debut at Kempton last time and may be the main danger, while Wide Acclaim appeals most of the two Acclamation newcomers.
