Last of four bumpers was his best when 1L second of seven at Lingfield. Switched to hurdles now and has place claims if he jumps well.
2
Horse silk
50/1
Flat winner returned from over four years off when tailed-off last at Ffos Las. Again beaten out of sight latest at Chepstow so near impossible to fancy.

11/8
Stable jock's pick of two for the yard here. Made a most pleasing start over hurdles when the only one to give an odds-on hotpot a race at Taunton (eventually finished third). Handled heavy on the flat so big player here.
4
Horse silk
33/1
Soundly beaten in a pair of bumpers and same story since switched to hurdling. Tailed-off latest at Taunton (Show On The Road second). Hood and tongue-tie added but huge amount to find.

6/5
Finished ahead of main rival Friday Night Light when 2¾L second at Taunton although rival may have paid price for battling it out with eventual winner. The one to beat and has 2¼L in hand of the Pipe horse.

The Major28

33/1
76-rated dual flat winner has plenty to prove over hurdles with his two efforts to date a ran out and then tailed off last. Heavy ground also an unknown.

Tigger Two28
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-3| J: David Noonan| T: D Pipe
20/1
Stable second string on jockey bookings and very much looks that way on form too. This his first start over hurdles after two midfield runs in bumpers. Breeding suggests he will need further.
8
Horse silk
12/1
Completed belatedly last time when 24L sixth of 15 at Wincanton after falling in first two hurdle races. More needed here and yard not in great form.
9
Horse silk
50/1
Tailed off at three-figure prices in both starts to date in hurdle races at Chepstow and Ludlow. Impossible to fancy.

Forecasts

Show On The Road (6/5), Friday Night Light (11/8), Another Crick (11/2), Unsafe Conduct (12/1), Tigger Two (20/1), Get Wishing (33/1), The Major (33/1), Baihas (50/1), Urtheonethatiwant (50/1)

Verdict

On all known form this appears a match between FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHT and Show On The Road. The latter came out on top in their recent meeting at Taunton but there was only 2¼L between the pair and David Pipe's runner was making his hurdles debut that day whilst the Hobbs horse had the benefit of two previous runs over timber. The pair are clearly closely matched but preference is for the Pipe horse. Form elsewhere is sketchy at best so hurdles debutant Another Crick gets the vote for third.
  1. Friday Night Light
  2. Show On The Road
  3. Another Crick
