A five-time course winner he's won four times over C&D with his most recent success coming on his penultimate start off a reduced mark (beat Luath). Beaten off marks like this in the past though and may just get found out again off this perch.
Has bounced around a few stables and was successful on her first start for her previous yard (John Butler) when easy to back in a Wolverhampton handicap off a mark of 70 (7f). Shaped with credit in two subsequent runs for Butler but looks to be going the wrong way now.
Stable appear to have grasped what's needed with their runners on Fibresand (3/8 here this year) and this one makes his debut on the surface. Now make his handicap debut having looked exposed in maidens although this looks a weak affair overall.
Put her experience to good use when scoring at Newcastle in a maiden over a mile (second start) in January. Not seen until September when returning in a handicap but hasn't really progressed since and held in 5th off this mark on her recent Fibresand debut.
Has shown an aptitude for hurdles of late although rather like his Flat outings he does tend to pull hard and can prove hard to settle. Not won now for well over a year and remains above that last winning mark with his ability to handle this surface to prove.
Plenty of form around this track with form figures of 3413 at this trip (has also won over shorter) but hasn't been able to take advantage of a much reduced mark of late. Beaten in a seller and claimer (both over shorter) here recently; well handicapped if he did come back to form.
Won on her Fibresand debut but has only been seen here once since and has not been seen since making hard work of finishing 4th in a 1m2f Leicester handicap in April. Ran with promise on the run prior to that and returned to a surface that suits is of interest; needs strong handling.
Now tried in a new headgear combination (has been tried in a visor) and has on occasions looked to run with promise both for this and his previous stable. Yet to put everything together though and now tried on Fibresand for the first time; sire has a decent strike-rate here.
Previously with Sir Michael Stoute he failed to win for that yard but has tumbled down the handicap (dropped 17lb in five runs for this stable). Got back on track at Newcastle last time (well backed) and interesting if he takes to this surface (sire building a good reputation on it).
Yet to win a race and is now starting to look a consistent but not progressive sort and he wasn't in the same here last time as he was on his debut on the surface. It may well have been that the 6f was too short for him and this first try at a mile may see him in a better light.
Undoubtedly well handicapped now and placed on his last two starts at this track the first over today's trip. Has won over C&D before off a 10lb higher mark and a return to this mile may well see him go close again especially in a strongly run race.
Blinkers go on for the first time on this maiden who runs here on Fibresand for the first time from 6lb out of the handicap. Stable certainly know the time of day on this surface (even first time up) but she looks to have a tough task even in this lowly grade.

Only a modest handicap but there are one or two well handicapped ones in this who could prove dangerous if they sprang back to life off their current marks. Ace Master would be one of those and BEST TAMAYUZ the other and he really does look to be knocking on the door of late and may be able to go one better here. Dose has a pedigree which really does say that she is suited by this surface but she does need strong handling and with Luath and Shearian two consistent types here. If there is one lurking away here then it would be Street Poet who was well backed last time out and his sire (Poet’s Voice) is starting to build a useful record with his runners here; one to watch in the market.
