Has had just the two runs so far this year but has looked in fine form, having only been beaten by the very useful Watersmeet. Goes off the same mark here and should have the speed for this distance.
0/4 this year but ran well on Polytrack at this course last time out. Dropped 2lb and should be thereabouts for a new yard.
C&D winner who has been running very well over further recently, including winning at Wolverhampton last time out. Drop in trip shouldn't be an issue and he should go well off a career-high mark.
Won a nice handicap here last time and has gone up 4lb as a result. Mostly tame effort before that this year but that was mostly in better races than this, and he could be worth another go off his revised weight.
Still has only a maiden to his name but both his races so far this year have been tougher than this, including when favourite for the Royal Hunt Cup at Royal Ascot. Holds claims on his best form.
Has run some fair races in better events than this one this year, but overall record in this class isn't the best and he looks liable to be outclassed by a few of these.
Has finished runner-up in a few good races this year but outclassed the last twice (including at this course last time) and likely to be held here again.
Useful performer on his day but well-beaten more often than not the last couple of seasons and looks a fair way past his best by now.
Effective over this trip in particular on his day but has been beaten in easier races than this one recently and doesn't look a particularly appealing prospect off his current mark.
Forecasts
Pactolus (5/2), Mutawathea (10/3), Abe Lincoln (10/3), Steel Train (6/1), London (11/1), Mythical Madness (14/1), Calling Out (14/1), Certificate (25/1), Bancnuanaheireann (33/1)
On his best form CALLING OUT should be easily good enough to win this, and though he has been restricted to just two runs this year they have both been fair efforts and the only races he has struggled in the past couple of seasons of this have been of significantly better quality than this. He is taken to overcome an absence since February and in the process beat recent course scorer Steel Train and Certificate, who makes his first appearance for Conor Dore today.
