Oasis Dream half-brother to ten-time winner Point North amongst others. Joined current yard for £600 last month having lost his way hurdling. Would have claims on his 2015 form but that is a fading memory.

Half-brother to an AW winning sprinter and returns to action after 26 months on the sidelines. Looked a nice prospect on his debut and best checking the market to see if that ability is retained.
Runner-up to a useful sort last time and finished clear of the third who has won since. Half-brother to several winners, including Barshiba, and this is a good opportunity to maintain the family tradition.

Sold out of Freddie Head's yard for 3,500 gns having showed modest ability in two races on soft ground. Best watched on AW debut.

Sir Percy colt who cost 62,000gns as a yearling. A half-brother to a couple of winners and indicated some ability himself on Wolverhampton debut. Will not have to improve much to hold a realistic chance.

Has regressed since his Chelmsford debut but it is likely the Fibresand experiment backfired last time. Hood fitted now but work to do in order to trouble the principals.

Well beaten on both starts and tackles another new trip. Will qualify for handicaps after this and her future probably lies in less competitive races than this.

Eight-race maiden who finds little under pressure. Not one to have maximum faith in and this looks harder than last time.

Daughter of Nathaniel cost just 3,000 gns as a yearling. Caught the eye when fourth on debut, but that was a poor race. Nevertheless, stable do well at this time of year and interesting the jockey comes here for this one ride.

Forecasts

Dash Of Spice (11/10), Monsieur Bay (7/2), Meccabah (9/2), Past Master (6/1), Mundersfield (8/1), Swiss Vinnare (20/1), Duhr (66/1), Diamond Reflection (100/1), Delicate Kiss (200/1)

Verdict

DASH OF SPICE came up against the useful Ajman King last time in a race that has worked out well. The winner cruised home in a hot handicap next time and the well beaten third even won his subsequent start. That form has him and head and shoulders above these if adapting to conditions. Mundersfield represents a stable that are worth following during the winter months. Her debut effort came in weak company but, like so many for the yard, significant improvement can be expected. Monsieur Bay showed promising signs on his debut and represents another stable whose horses come on for their debuts. Past Master showed definite ability as a juvenile, but a lengthy absence has to be a concern unless the market signals are positive.
  1. Dash Of Spice
  2. Monsieur Bay
  3. Mundersfield
