Good ground point-to-point winner and made a winning debut under rules when successful over C&D on soft ground a month ago. One for the shortlist under a penalty.
Flat winner for Sir Michael Stoute but absent for over four years prior to finishing well beaten in a maiden hurdle at Ffos Las (2m4f, heavy) last month.
Fair efforts in three starts in bumpers so far. Most recent of those came on debut for this yard on soft ground here last month. Making his hurdling debut today.
Signs of ability in three outings in bumpers so far including on debut for this yard when sixth of 20 on good-to-soft ground here in October. Probably best watched on hurdling debut.
Ran well to finish third to the useful Snow Leopardess in a bumper at Doncaster (good) in February last year but absent since finishing last of five in a similar race at Huntingdon (soft) the following month.
Career best effort when finishing a good third at Exeter (soft) over an extended 2m5f last time out. Represents a stable with a 19% strike-rate (7/37) of late and a leading player if repeating that effort.
Point-to-point winner over 2m4f at Upcott Cross (soft) on his third start in that sphere and not beaten far when sixth at Taunton (good) in a bumper last time out. Making his hurdling debut today.
Not gone on following a couple of decent efforts in bumpers in the spring and well held in soft ground bumper here last time. Probably best watched on hurdling debut.
Winner of a point-to-point on soft ground in April but pulled up in that sphere since and well beaten on heavy ground here on rules debut last month.
Winner of a soft ground bumper at Warwick in March but disappointing when pulled up on hurdling debut at Exeter last month. Interesting to see how he fares today.
Held in all three outings so far including over hurdles the last twice. Likely to be of more interest once tackling handicaps.
Pulled up twice in point-to-points prior to finishing fourth of six on good-to-firm ground on his final outing in that sphere in May 2015. Making his rules debut today.
Won three times on the Flat and rated 90 at his best in that sphere. Disappointing over hurdles and on the Flat since joining this yard earlier this year.
Finished well beaten in a Newbury (good-to-soft) bumper on debut last month. Is a half-brother to a couple of useful performers and he represents a stable in good form at present (4/14) on hurdling debut.
Ran well in a Warwick (soft) bumper on debut and put in another good effort when finishing sixth on hurdling debut at Uttoxeter (2m4f, good-to-soft) last month. Worth a check in the market today.
Pulled up in a point-to-point and well held in two bumpers and a novice hurdle since going under rules. Others make more appeal.
Forecasts
Chooseyourweapon (5/6), Golden Sunrise (5/2), The Sweeney (6/1), Mance Rayder (6/1), The Last Of Them (25/1), Subcontinent (50/1), Frankly Speaking (50/1), Jimmy Bell (50/1), Duke Of Kilcorral (66/1), Sparky's Spirit (66/1), Chief Sittingbull (100/1), Jabbea (100/1), Kings Watch (150/1), Baihas (150/1), Rumor (150/1), Jubilee Lass (200/1)
GOLDEN SUNRISE can get off the mark at the third time of asking for Colin Tizzard in this novice hurdle. The selection ran well on soft ground at Exeter last time out and can see off the penalised Chooseyourweapon who was a winner over C&D on his rules debut last time out. Mance Ryder proved a disappointment on hurdling debut but he can put that effort behind him by finishing third today.
- Golden Sunrise
- Chooseyourweapon
- Mance Rayder
