Pivotal newcomer who cost 90,000 guineas as a yearling but was well down the field on her debut over 7f at Kempton in September. Hard to believe there isn't more to come from her.
Yard not renowned for winners in this age-group and this filly looked backward when beaten out of sight over 7f at Newmarket first time out in October. One to overlook in the short-term.
Decent American dirt pedigree and, having cost $120,000 as a yearling, she showed plenty of promise amid greenness over 7f at Kempton first time out. Sure to improve and looks a player.
New Approach filly. Half-sister to 5f winner Her Terms. Dam a juvenile sprint winner. Yard capable of readying a newcomer and of interest if the market speaks in her favour.
Nothing special on paper and looked very green when beating only one home on her debut over 7f at Chelmsford last month. Others more persuasive.
Well-beaten in a maiden and two novice events so far having been sent off huge prices on each occasions. Another minor role looks like here.
Kodiac filly, closely related to some useful winners but only fetched €13,000 as a foal. Yard's juveniles invariably come on for an airing.
Exceed and Excel filly who never figured on her debut at Newmarket but turned in a much-improved effort to chase home a useful prospect at Lingfield (1m) last month. Open to further improvement and holds obvious claims.
A €125,000 Kodiac filly out of a well related dam who finished a promising third on her debut over 6f at Leicester in June. Subsequent absence suggests an issue but one to be interested in nonetheless.
Cacique filly who cost €13,000 as a two-year-old and has shown little to recommend her in two starts, albeit she found some limited improvement over 7f at Kempton last time.
Cacique filly with an underwhelming pedigree, though offered something to work on when sixth of nine first time out over 7f at Kempton. Looks one for handicaps later on.
Forecasts
Catoca (9/4), Fresh Terms (4/1), Allante (5/1), Poetic Imagination (11/2), Point Hope (8/1), Inch Pincher (12/1), La Mernancia (16/1), Astroblaze (25/1), Thistimelastyear (25/1), Supermoss (33/1), Lady Of Authority (50/1)
Fresh Terms looks the most interesting of the newcomers here but Point Hope, Poetic Imagination and CATOCA have already shown enough to suggest that there are races to be won with them on the AW this winter. Of that trio, preference here is for the latter given her eyecatching dirt pedigree and promising debut over 7f at Kempton where she looked green initially but warmed to her task in the latter stages.
- Catoca
- Poetic Imagination
- Point Hope
