A step into the unknown as he makes his Fibresand debut after winning a maiden on the Tapeta at Wolverhampton lat time (better known as a hurdler). Very few clues in the pedigree about his effectiveness on this surface; beaten off a 4lb lower mark in handicaps before.
Effective on this surface although has yet to win here in five attempts but has been progressive on turf over the summer winning three times. Might have needed the run on her return and should be respected here although slight improvement needed.
No stranger to running here with a 50% record to his name (8/16) but he hasn't won a handicap since early in 2016 and was hammered by Restive last time out. 6lb better off with that one for 7L beating but may struggle to reverse that form.
Returned to Fibresand he proved better than ever when scoring easily by 7L over C&D last time looking more straightforward than usual. Has a 7lb penalty to contend with here but has a sound chance of following up that win if in the same frame of mind.
Formerly a Fibresand monster winning six of his nine races here but that was a while ago and he's not really shown any form since winning a claimer here in 2015. Only had five runs since then but hard to see him getting back to his former glories.
Placed a couple of times here in the past he's been lightly-raced since his last victory earlier this year. Remains above his last winning mark and this looks a tough task on his first run for a while.
No experience of this surface (sire has a 14% strike-rate) but comes here off the back of an improved performance on stable debut at Redcar over 1m6f. Took advantage of a falling mark and runs from out of the handicap here and this looks a tougher assignment.

If RESTIVE is in the same form as he was here last week then he’s going to be hard to stop under a 7lb penalty as he scored easily and looked suited by the surface on his second try on it. Luv U Whatever may get closer on this occasion but his stable are a little quiet at the moment and the main danger looks to come from Percys Princess based on her turf form over the summer. Bleu Et Noir remains the wildcard but he has no form on this surface and backers are taking a chance that he can act on this unique terrain.
