Previous course winner and has three wins from 10 runs this year, including last time out over 1m2f at Lingfield 11 days ago. Carries an extra 5lb for neck success there.
Now 11 runs since his last win but improved showing in first-time blinkers when neck second behind Fayez over 1m2f at Lingfield. Can get in the mix again.
Sole success came over 6f as a two-year-old when with Aidan O'Brien. Now gone 22 runs without a win but useful third over C&D three days ago puts him in the picture.
Lightly-raced Danehill Dancer gelding, has won both previous AW starts, at Kempton, around this time in each of the previous two years. Poor in big-field turf handicap at Doncaster last month but much-respected in first-time cheekpieces back on AW.
A four-time C&D winner who ran well enough here in March when last spotted, must defy 259-day absence now and market may be best guide as to what is expected.
Has an excellent track record on AW and was not far behind re-opposing Fayez and Brex Drago over slightly longer trip here 11 days ago. Should give his running.
Winner over 1m on AW at Newcastle in March, comes here off two solid turf efforts recently off this mark.
Winner over extended-mile here in August off a mark of 83, was very tame next time out on turf at Sandown and back now from a 78-day break.
Dual winner on turf and making his AW debut when beaten 6L into fourth over 1m4f at Kempton last time out. Dropped 3lb for that effort and could be competitive, though no win since 2014.
Ran well on return to AW at Chelmsford 15 days ago over 7f when close up in third. Perfectly capable of running a big race off current mark if stamina holds out.
Yet to win in 13 AW starts and previous form over C&D isn't a source of inspiration. Was running well on turf in the summer but little appeal on these terms back on artificial surface.
Maiden winner here in January (7f) and followed up with handicap debut success over same trip at Newcastle off 75 a month later. Rather lost his way since and very poor at Newcastle over a mile 22 days ago. Others have clearer designs on this prize.
Yarmouth winner in August and ran creditable fifth of 10 in handicap at Lingfield (1m, AW) a week ago. Not favoured by these terms however.
Forecasts
Fayez (5/1), Brex Drago (6/1), Perfect Cracker (6/1), Battle Of Marathon (7/1), Emenem (8/1), Alejandro (8/1), Swift Emperor (10/1), Towerlands Park (12/1), Pensax Boy (12/1), Cricklewood Green (12/1), Multicultural (14/1), First Flight (16/1), Espresso Freddo (33/1)
TOWERLANDS PARK is forgiven a tame effort in the November Handicap at Doncaster last time, and fancied to maintain his perfect record on the AW. He showed up well at Newbury in a Class 2 event on his first start this year in late October and perhaps his Town Moore run came a but quickly. He previous two AW wins have come at this time of year in 2015 and 2016 and, with first-time cheekpieces on, he should mount another bold bid. Not much separated Fayez (first) and Brex Drago (second) at Lingfield recently and both should get involved again while ex-Ballydoyle inmate Battle Of Marathon ran well over C&D this week already. Four-time C&D winner Perfect Cracker and August scorer Pensax Boy are worth market checks give they have form here.
- Towerlands Park
- Perfect Cracker
- Battle Of Marathon
