Won a maiden auction at Lingfield last season but not quite recaptured or delivered on the promise shown. Latest efforts have been poor and this looks a big ask for her on these terms.

Been kept busy since winning over C&D in March off a mark of 54, ran a cracker at Lingfield (7f) a week ago and just 1lb above previous winning mark if able to replicate that effort back here.

Irish raider, scored over a mile on turf in June at Wetherby, couple of recent efforts at Dundalk, including this trip, have been fair and first-time cheekpieces are tried now. Not discounted.

Foiled in the hat-trick bid by possibly setting too strong a pace last time out but had previous been in flying form at Chelmsford. Has been given a short break now and not out of this despite being high enough in the ratings.

Just the one win from 27 attempts, that came in March 2016. Towards the rear in last five races in Ireland so little to recommend him at present.

Now a 16-race maiden and has failed to alter that status despite going off as favourite in all four starts for this trainer over the last month or so. Likely to be in the shake-up, but frustrating sort now.

Knocking on the door in similar company on the AW in recent starts, comes here fresh from a 52-day break and perfectly entitled to throw his hat in the ring on these terms.

Three-time 7f AW winner (in 35 starts), but not since March 2016. She's been running solid races lately at Kempton and Chelmsford and has won over this C&D before.

An 11-race maiden who has shown little in the way of ability to date on turf. He does have potential to do better in this sphere and has been gelded since last spotted.

All four AW wins have come at this venue, two of them over C&D. Just denied in blanket finish over this trip in October, races from 1lb lower mark this time and tends record here entitles him to respect.

Missed the majority of 2017 but did win at Kempton back in March (albeit in Class 7 company). 100/1 and finished tailed off in Chelmsford claimer on return from a layoff a fortnight ago. Hard to make case for.

Still seeking a breakthrough after 19 runs and well held on recent AW starts, including when ridden positively over extended-mile here in October before fading to 5L defeat. Plenty work to be done.

Forecasts

Jack Blane (7/2), Hisar (9/2), Binky Blue (6/1), Satchville Flyer (6/1), Prince Jai (8/1), Broughtons Fancy (10/1), Secret Memories (10/1), Herm (14/1), Secret Lightning (16/1), Rosenborg Rider (20/1), Mossy's Lodge (25/1), Sunnyside Bob (33/1)

Verdict

BROUGHTONS FANCY is a four-time winner at this track, two of them over this trip. He was denied by a thin margin over C&D last month and has since run a couple of useful races up at Newcastle. Back here, rated 1lb lower than his last visit, he looks one of the more reliable options to give his running. Jack Blane showed up well at Lingfield last time, finding only one too good and is on a winnable mark while Prince Jai and the frustrating Hisar are also worthy of consideration.
