Has the early speed to overcome a wide draw but faces competition up front from Meandmyshadow. Dropping towards his last winning mark but a 2-26 record indicates how infrequently races fall right for him.
Reportedly better with give underfoot as she proved at Yarmouth last time. Attractively weighted but she has been below-par on two previous AW starts.
Has been threatening to win one of these lately and now reunited with a rider who gets the best out of her. The draw and the presence of Swanton Blue will not make it easy for her to dominate from the front.
Two best runs have come on seasonal debuts. There was no evidence on first run for this yard that she had made any progress and the draw is unhelpful.
Best effort in three came in sole AW start. No better than fairly handicapped and likely to need this after a year off.
Picked up four AW races on the spin and the handicapper appears reluctant to forgive him. Last of 11 on latest start two months ago.
On a handy mark following some dismal efforts. Stable's horses have been doing better lately but still hard to fancy.
Appreciated the switch to sprinting when comfortably scoring over C&D. This new headgear combination played a part and she remains on a handy mark. Stable continue in excellent form.
Well supported when picking up a poor race over 5f here two weeks ago. Cheekpieces helped on that occasion and need to again off an 11lb higher mark.
Best effort this season came in cheekpieces at Lingfield and 8lb lower now. That reflects some tame efforts since including her debut for this yard. Aids remain in the tack room and of little interest unless supported.
Mark has dropped a stone in the past 12 months but he remains without a win in over three years. Flopped on his only previous start in blinkers.
Could be considered well handicapped on some of his juvenile form. Appears to have been difficult to train and his two runs this year leave him a long way short.
Without a win for more than five years and in here from 6lb out of the handicap. Chances are remote.
Forecasts
Zenovia (11/4), Swanton Blue (7/2), Meandmyshadow (6/1), Sophisticated Heir (7/1), A Sure Welcome (9/1), Desert Fox (10/1), Reedanjas (10/1), Toolatetodelegate (16/1), Kachess (18/1), The Hooded Claw (20/1), Nuzha (33/1), Singula (50/1), Portrush Storm (100/1)
Archie Watson's team continue to reap dividends at present and ZENOVIA has been found an excellent opportunity to add to her recent C&D success. New headgear and a drop in the weights resulted in a comfortable victory and this looks equally uncompetitive. Front-runners Swanton Blue and Meandmyshadow may pay a price if taking each other on, whilst Toolatetodelegate has a stiff task off an 11lb higher mark than when scoring here a fortnight ago.
- Zenovia
- Meandmyshadow
- Swanton Blue
