Versatile performer who steps up in trip following a couple of disappointing performances. Should be on a workable handicap mark in theory but has never won over this far on the Flat.
Useful staying handicapper on his day but hasn't looked the same horse so far this year and this trip is surely too sharp for him.
In good form at Bath over the summer but 0/5 on the AW and recent performances have been less impressive.
Course specialist who is almost back down at this most recent winning handicap mark. Apprentice rider claims a further 3lb but still needs to return to his early season form.
Shaped with plenty of promise last year, especially on AW tracks, but has not been the same horse this year, having failed to beat a rival home in four of his five starts. Readily passed over.
Has run solid races on the AW the last twice in a minor handicaps such as this, including his best performance for some time last time out. Should be able to take another step forward here.
Made a low-key handicap debut at Newcastle last time out when finishing last of nine, and has been dropped 3lb here. Will probably require further help from the handicapper.
Well-beaten in just about all his starts so far and yet to convince he truly stays further than 1m. Others hold far more convincing claims.
Hat-trick seeker on won over C&D two starts ago then over slightly shorter last time out. Only narrowly up in the weights given the small winning margins and should be able to be competitive again.
0/7 in his career so far, and though now 9lb lower than his opening mark from the summer, he still looks an unappealing proposition on what he's shown. Blinkers on.
Showed signs of a revival with a good fourth over slightly shorter at this course last time after some recent poor displays. Down another 1lb and could be a player if building on that.
10 race maiden who has been beaten less than 3L in each of her last five races. Proving difficult to win with but clearly has ability.
Only career win came in February 2016 and looks up against it following 10L defeat at Newcastle last time out when hanging to the left.
Forecasts
Born To Reason (9/4), Peak Hill (4/1), Indiana Dawn (8/1), Lord Murphy (10/1), Rock Island Line (12/1), Barista (12/1), Sooqaan (12/1), New Abbey Angel (14/1), Buthelezi (16/1), Threediamondrings (16/1), Struck By The Moon (16/1), D'waterside (20/1), Mamnoon (25/1)
Indiana Dawn appears to be waiting to win a race but has been given plenty of chances by now and preference is for BORN TO REASON. This progressive hat-trick seeker has only gone up narrowly in the weights for two recent victories having been helped by the addition of blinkers. Another small step forward is probably all that's required here. Lord Murphy is another to consider on the basis of his early-season form.
- Born To Reason
- Indiana Dawn
- Lord Murphy
