All six wins have come on turf, rarely looked like scoring in five previous AW tries. Now rated 15lb lower than when beaten around 5L over this trip at Wolverhampton in March and some decent turf efforts since, including Pontefract win in August.
Winner of two low-grade sprints in France earlier this year but hasn't looked like repeating the trick in seven turf runs since arriving in Britain, even allowing for decreasing mark has to improve for AW switch.
Ran on well at the finish to win a maiden over C&D in September on debut for this trainer, not as good since in soft ground handicap at Musselburgh but could bounce back on this surface.
Filly has been generally consistent this year for new yard without getting her head in front, ran well on AW return over this trip at Wolverhampton 13 days ago and entitled to her say off the same mark.
Lightly-raced filly won a maiden over 5f here in early September and followed up to win at Redcar (6f, good to soft) from mark of 64. Since held over 5f at that track and ought to be suited by return to this trip.
Shed maiden tag in 6f fillies' handicap at Doncaster on first start for this yard in April, then sat out for 154 days and both AW runs, including over C&D, since return have been tame. Hard to fancy currently.
Frontrunner who has lost little in defeat lately, going down narrowly as runner-up in three of previous four starts, including over C&D in August. Remains fairly treated on that evidence and 6lb lower than when taking this race last year.
Not at his best here previously, though shaped better over this trip a fortnight ago when beaten just over 3L. Has dropped 2lb in the handicap and chance to build on that effort.
Invincible Spirit filly who is a half-sister to five winners including 1m Group 2 winner Duntle, off the mark at the third time of asking when landing 5f maiden here in September, despite hanging in the finish. Should be more to come.
Winner over 7f at Redcar (good to firm) in August, a first in 16 attempts, well held back there since on softer ground and not the most obvious contender in this line-up. Tame effort over C&D in sole previous AW run.
Has only had five starts and she ran a promising race over C&D in August on second start for this trainer when less then 3L fourth of 14. Rated 3lb lower this evening and one to pay attention to in betting for trainer that does ok at this track.
Half-sister to a couple of AW winners, so reason to believe she'll handle this surface, has been showing steady improvement at her own level since switched to handicaps (engaged 19:55 Chelmsford Thursday).
Now over 18 months since he had his head in front and mark has really been plummeting after some poor efforts, though produced a fine run to be narrow second over C&D 15 days ago and repeat gives him plenty hope.
Just one win from 16 starts to date, coming over 7f at Catterick in August on good ground. Hard to be confident, though has run well in 6f maidens at Wolverhampton in two of previous three AW spins.
Forecasts
Lady Of The Lamp (11/2), Kommander Kirkup (6/1), Nuns Walk (7/1), Avenue Of Stars (8/1), Roys Dream (8/1), Meandmyshadow (17/2), Cosmic Chatter (9/1), Charlie's Dreamer (12/1), Insurplus (16/1), Sexy Legs (16/1), Dandy Bird (20/1), Prazeres (22/1), Tan (25/1), Shesthedream (50/1)
Last year's winner Meandmyshadow is rated 6lb lower now and the frontrunner has been in excellent recent form, without winning. She is not to be underestimated. Kommander Kirkup was much better last time around here while the lightly-raced Nuns Walk should be suited now back over this trip. Sexy Legs won a maiden over C&D in September and ought to bounce back from a tame effort subsequently in soft ground at Musselburgh but LADY OF THE LAMP was supported to collect a maiden over 5f here last time out and, on just her fourth run, should be able to find more now ensuring she is entitled to a big say.
- Lady Of The Lamp
- Sexy Legs
- Meandmyshadow
