Cost 26,000 gns and is bred to appreciate middle distances. yard in good form but this fellow is likely best watched in debut.
Two good efforts over 7f posted so far give cause for a ripple of excitement. One to bear in mind for a race like this as a mile is likely to suit ideally on pedigree.
Cost 15,000 gns as a two-year-old but was resold at the Ascot sales for £5,500 in July. Debut run was poor and not difficult to see the gelding making an impact on that evidence.

Got going late in the day over 1m on debut at Newcastle. Sure to have benefited from that pleasing run, the gelding has a likable pedigree and looks shortlist material in this company.

Winner in his bloodlines but his first two starts (over 7f at Yarmouth) were uninspiring. Much more required but is related to effective AW performers, so at least has that going for him.

Finished last on debut at Salisbury but posted a much better effort to be third of seven at Chelmsford last month. More still required but could be noteworthy if the market suggests he is going the right way.

Beat just one rival home on debut at Newbury and posted little sign that he would flourish for the outing. Fitting of a tongue tie needs to have a dramatic impact.

Got tired near the finish on debut at Brighton last month but should be a lot wiser for the experience. Very feasible the gelding can find at least enough to make the frame in this company. yard going well just now too.
Cost 20,000 gns and has plenty of winners in her pedigree. Debut run was only a modest effort though and she found very little when asked for effort. Sent off at odds of 33/1 then and makes limited appeal this time around too.

Poor effort on debut at Lingfield backed up by an equally ineffective effort at Newmarket at the start of last month. Difficult to get enthusiastic about her chances here.

Interesting pedigree for one that was a very cheap purchase as a two-year-old. However, little sign of ability in either start so far would appear to justify the lack of market interest. Best watched.

Forecasts

Sky Rocket (2/1), Te Koop (11/4), Pompey Chimes (4/1), Waiting Room (9/2), Go Fox (16/1), Ipcress File (16/1), Trick Shot Jenny (25/1), Ipsilante (25/1), Spring Ability (66/1), Dolydaydream (66/1), Epsom Bounty (80/1)

Verdict

Hard to say which is the weaker of the two division of this race as neither stands out as a contest for the big hitters to dive in. POMPEY CHIMES has more going for him that most and may well thrive over this extra test of his stamina. Sky Rocket is an interesting one to watch in the betting, while Ipcress File and Te Koop can scrap it out as the best of the rest.
  1. Pompey Chimes
  2. Sky Rocket
  3. Ipcress File
