An odds-on winner of a bumper he's not progressed over hurdles at all in six starts and he's yet to win in this sphere. Back from a long break here and with a tongue-tie on for the first time but a place the best he can hope for.

Winner of both his bumpers his start to life over hurdles was encouraging enough although his Kempton Park runner-up slot was gained a fair while ago. Now back on track and tries a longer trip here which should suit him and looks the stable's first choice.

First-time tongue strap needs to bring about a remarkable improvement in one who has been well beaten in all his starts so far.

Ran his best race over hurdles on debut before disappointing on his subsequent start although he did have the excuse of a lost shoe on that occasion. Now shows up in a first-time tongue-tie although the stable are a little quiet at the moment and best watched for now.

Makes his debut for this yard having shown some ability when running in Ireland for his previous connections. Shaped as though this sort of trip would suit on his sole hurdles start and will be interesting for handicaps.

Went without a win in seven Irish point-to-point outings and has shown no real ability over hurdles yet. Started 100/1 on most recent start and looks sure to start a similar price here.

Won a bumper at Stratford in the summer having shown some promise in point-to-points previously. Beaten by a lone rival over hurdles last time out and looks vulnerable on what he's shown so far.
From a yard that can produce winners of this type and this wasn't a cheap purchase having cost his current connections £58,000. Looked a little unlucky not to land his one point-to-point run and market expected to guide here.

Unbeaten under Rules so far having win both his bumpers one around here and beat the useful Grade 2 winner Lalor in that. Followed up that performance with a win under a penalty and must be respected on his hurdles debut for a capable yard.

Form of his Irish point-to-point win has been nicely advertised and the £36,000 that he cost current connections may looks money well spent. Makes his debut over hurdles now and worth checking in the market for a yard that have made a decent start.

Not had that much experience as only seen once in point-to-points before having an initial outing under Rules in a Chepstow bumper. Didn't show that much in that race and best watched in this.

Verdict

The standout form here over hurdles belongs to Coup De Pinceau who ran a 130+ rated individual close at Kempton but the bumper runs of SAM BROWN may be hold the key to this. Both his hurdles runs hinted that he could well be a useful sort over timber and he’s given the vote here. Several others have shown promise without necessarily being good enough to win this with Red River, The Ogle Gogle Man and Bill And Barn all looking capable of winning over hurdles but they may have run into two useful individuals here.
  1. Sam Brown
  2. Coup De Pinceau
  3. Red River
