A winner on debut but proving difficult enough to win with since. Down 2lb since his last race at York but needs the step up in trip to bring about improvement.
Off the mark at the third attempt last time, destroying an ordinary field at Redcar to justify odds-on favouritism. Opening mark of 88 hardly lenient but he seems to have more to offer. Cheekpieces on for the first time.
Hat-trick seeker who won just narrowly over this trip at Newbury last time out. Clearly suited by galloping tracks (has also won at Salisbury), and should still be on a workable mark.
Won over this trip at York last time to get off the mark and goes up 4lb as a result. Makes his handicap debut here, probably needs to improve on what he's shown.
Broke his maiden at Pontefract last time out and steps up in trip here. Opening mark seems about right and others hold more convincing claims.
Not the worst form in 5f novice races, but needs to do much netter than when well-beaten in a Newmarket sales race earlier in the month.
Finally got off the mark at Catterick last week in soft conditions, but should encounter both faster ground and a tougher opposition this time round.
Soft ground may have been key to her when she won two starts ago, and this is probably too big an ask given her other performances. Cheekpieces added for the first time.
Forecasts
Al Hajar (10/11), Rogue (5/1), Mont Kinabalu (7/1), Big Les (8/1), Zap (9/1), Lady Anjorica (20/1), Wensley (25/1), Bee Ina Bonnet (33/1)
Seeking a hat-trick of victories on galloping courses on a sound surface (provided it stays that way), everything seems set for ROGUE to run a big race. Despite narrow margins of victory, a 5lb rise from both of those races seems fair, he's effective over 7f and obviously the booking of Ryan Moore (who re-takes the ride from Tom Marquand) is a big bonus. He is taken to see off Al Hajar, most impressive when winning at Redcar in September, and recent York scorer Mont Kinabalu.
