Finally obliged at the seventh attempt when running on strongly to win over 6f at Yarmouth earlier this week. Had earlier this year finished a runner-up over this C&D so very much respected under a penalty.
Has six wins on his CV, two on the AW, but has been out of sorts during the second half of this season. Last victory was achieved two years ago and although the handicapper has given him a chance, others have stronger claims.
A Salisbury maiden winner for Simon Crisford in September 2015, but not as of yet able to register a success for this trainer. Mark is sliding, but very average in his last three runs and remains unconvincing.
Tricky customer who is likely to travel well and then not find too much for pressure, another narrow defeat at Musselburgh last time again highlighting that trait. It's now three years and over 30 races since he last won a race.
A C&D scorer from a higher mark earlier in the year and, though he has ran well in defeat since then, his more recent efforts in blinkers have been disappointing. Interesting to see a change of headgear here.
Just three wins from 51 starts, only one of them on the AW, but he has gone close on occasions from higher marks in the past. Poor at Newcastle last time but wouldn't be out of this if putting his best foot forward.
Not many miles on the clock and clearly going the right way as evidenced by a nice win over 7f at Kempton last month. Has been given a break since then a 3lb rise may not be enough to prevent a follow up.
Sole victory came over an extended 7f at Ffos Las (good) as a two-year-old. Well beaten on final outings for David Evans but signs of a revival when third on his second start for this yard at Kempton (1m) latest.
Low key stuff from this €42,000 gelding in three maidens over 7f and 1m but he starts out off a lowly mark as a result. With cheekpieces introduced it would be no surprise to see improvement and he is one to note.
Loves it here, making it four course wins when scoring over 6f in March. Equally effective over 7f but the handicapper has largely been in control of late and she may again find others better handicapped.
Exposed performer with just two wins from 35 attempts and hasn't really looked like adding to her tally this year despite a plummeting mark. Not ideally drawn as she makes a first visit to this course.

Sentinel (5/4), Mr Slicker (7/2), Danot (8/1), Queens Royale (9/1), Caledonia Laird (11/1), Magical Molly Joe (12/1), Grey Destiny (20/1), Peak Hill (20/1), Broughtons Fancy (25/1), Secret Missile (33/1), Thorntoun Lady (50/1), Tafteesh (50/1)
Progressive last-time-out winners SENTINEL and Queens Royal look the two to concentrate on here, with preference for the latter who had already shaped well over this C&D prior to his impressive win over shorter at Yarmouth earlier in the week. Of the rest, the frustrating, yet talented, Danot remains a force to be reckoned with at this level whilst any market support for handicap debutant Mr Slicker could be significant.
