Broke his maiden at the ninth attempt when successful over this C&D last month and just edged out by Fikhaar from 5lb higher at Chelmsford next time. Evidently still improving so commands respect in a weak affair.
Three placed runs in AW maidens but soundly beaten in both handicap starts so far, most recently over this C&D in a first-time tongue-tie (now dispensed with). Likely capable of better but draw far from ideal.
Signs of ability on second maiden attempt over 7f here in June but well beaten twice since, including on her handicap debut over 5f at Bath (soft) recently after a four-month absence. Better expected now.
Well beaten on all seven starts to date, though glimmers of improvement last time out when mid-division over 5f (soft) at Windsor. Visor introduced in the search for much-needed improvement.
Flickers of promise for Ronald Harris but remains a maiden after 12 starts, following another lacklustre effort in a seller over 7f at Leicester (heavy) last month. Has since switched yards and new handler has improved similar types.
Made all for his sole career success in a Chelmsford nursery (5f) in November 2016 but has lost his way quite badly since and arrives here out of sorts. Has it to do from a tough draw.
Of limited ability based on her juvenile form which saw her finish unplaced in five starts. Little sign of improvement on belated reappearance over 5f here earlier this week but should come on for the run.
Not beaten far when a respectable third on his handicap debut over this C&D back in June but something clearly went amiss next time. Fitness query to answer after almost four months off but possibly worth a look in first-time cheekpieces.
14 race maiden who has done the majority of his racing for Daniel Kubler over longer trips. Never able to get competitive when dropped to 5f on first start for this yard recently but more in favour here.
Won a Salisbury handicap (7f, good to firm) 13 months ago, but now on a 16-race losing run. Has been competitive in stronger races than this, however, including when third over 7f at Leicester latest. Respected from a good draw.
Still a maiden after 13 outings and five starts for this stable have not been too productive. That said, the best of his juvenile form suggests he does have ability if it can be tapped by a first-time visor.
Not too much to recommend him on after eight career starts, though was third in a 5f maiden at Newcastle last month. Would probably have a squeak on that form from a good draw.
Pretty consistent sort who is unlucky to still be a maiden, having finished a runner-up in both starts for this yard, most recently over 6f at Brighton (soft) last week. Should continue to run well and likely to be firmly in the mix.
Forecasts
Hisar (9/4), Hurricane Rock (5/2), Treagus (7/2), Seebring (10/1), Princess Way (10/1), Jorvik Prince (28/1), Rapid Rise (28/1), Permanent (28/1), La Fortuna (33/1), Fivos (33/1), Like Minds (66/1), New Tale (80/1), Emilene (100/1)
TREGARUS has shown improved form since recently joining Anthony Carson's yard and, with this tapeta surface likely to suit, he is taken to gain compensation for two recent seconds from the foot of the handicap. Course and distance winner Hurricane Rock looks the principal threat after backing up with a solid effort at Chelmsford whilst it's hard to rule out Princess Way on best form despite her being a long-standing maiden.
