Won a 1m4f maiden at this track in January, but has been unable to build on that in handicaps. Dropping down the weights and is trying a shorter trip.
Ran up to his mark when fourth of 11 at this track last time and has received a bonus in the shape of a 1lb drop in the weights. Likely to make his presence felt.
Headed close home when narrowly beaten at this track over 1m last time. Reverts to a longer trip, but he has won round here over 1m4f so stamina is not an issue. Sound chance.
Recorded four successive victories at Chelmsford from September, 2016, to April, this year. The inevitable weight rise has stopped her in her tracks, and she tries her luck at this course for the first time.
Won a 1m Brighton maiden a year ago, but five runs in handicap company this year have been disappointing. Inching down the weights, but has plenty to do.
Winner over C&D who ran well to chase home a well-backed favourite at this course earlier this month. Looks to have a solid chance.
Quiet start for this stable before landing a 1m2f Windsor claimer. Has form on AW surfaces, but this is much tougher than her latest assignment.
Last win came at Bath over 1m2f in May and he is well treated off 1lb lower. Recent form tempers enthusiasm, however.
Runner-up in maidens at Chelmsford and Brighton, but has made little impact in three handicaps. In good hands, but is hard to fancy.
Ran in three maidens for John Gosden before joining progressive jumps yard for whom he ran a promising fourth of 13 in handicap company over 1m at Chepstow. Runs off the same mark and reverts to this trip.
Has gone close in both handicaps at Windsor and this course. Handicap mark has gone up slightly, but he remains a leading contender for his in-form yard.
Completely out of form and has failed to beat a rival on his last four starts. Cannot be fancied with that in mind.
Won a maiden on his debut over 1m4f at Lingfield in March, but has been most disappointing since. Last of 11 at Wolverhampton on his latest outing and is readily opposed.
One of the most experienced contenders with six wins to his name. Stamina looks a serious issue, though, so best to look elsewhere.
Forecasts
Abel Tasman (7/4), Iballisticvin (4/1), Bridge Of Sighs (9/1), Mesophere (9/1), Diamond Bear (10/1), Belabour (12/1), Choral Clan (14/1), Makkadangdang (25/1), Estrella Eria (25/1), Gracious George (25/1), Unsuspected Girl (33/1), Voski (33/1), Berkeley Vale (50/1), Threediamondrings (66/1)
With his stable in such good form, Abel Rasman is sure to have his supporters and may well be good enough. Slight preference, though, is for CHORAL CLAN, who ran a blinder over shorter last time and won't be inconvenienced by the return to a longer distance. The other dangers are headed by Mesophere, Bridge Of Sighs and Iballisticvin.
