Veteran who produced a decent performance on his penultimate start over this trip at the Curragh in July. Largely disappointing over the summer bar that run. Looks a tall order on form shown.

Comes here on the back of a hat-trick completed at Listowel last month beating 13 rivals ¾L. Gone up 31lb since first of three wins under leading jockey. Tough ask under another penalty.

The last of five starts in July looked as though there was too much being asked of the gelding when finishing sixth of 12 beaten over 10L. Best watched on return to the track.

Just touched off over an extended 1m at Galway (soft) on debut but made no mistake upped to 1m2f at Roscommon (heavy) next time out before disappointing in a Naas handicap over 1m2f. May appreciate the step up in trip.

Not disgraced in two of his last three starts over the summer. The one blip came over this trip when finishing sixth of 13 beaten 33L at Listowel. Looks vulnerable in this company.

Stable in-form and the gelding has put in some fairly solid performances over the summer without winning, before taking a Dundalk handicap last time out on the AW over this trip. Can go well under leading jockey.

Verdict

The Jim Bolger-trained Slaney Street likes to get on with things can set an honest pace here with possibly Misty Mountain following from a similar draw. COMMANDER WON has been consistent all season and deserved his win last time out at Dundalk on the AW and can continue his progression here. The improving Harvey Specter and the consistent Grand Partner can claim minor honours.
