Showed promise on seasonal return but form has dipped since then. Now has something to prove even though he is back on a winning mark.
Stays the trip well and suited by stepping up in distance after an inadequate challenge on seasonal debut. Versatile regarding the ground looks a leading player in this company. (Yard has a good record in this race.)
Capable stayer but crept up the ratings after a brace of wins during the summer. Already fading when he fell at Sedgefield last time out and now has a bit to prove.
Posted a good effort to Win at Worecster in May but found life much tougher under revised marks since. Still looks a little high in the weights will take a big effort from him on these terms.
Winner of an Irish point-to-point last October but has flourished since joining his current yard. Justified favoritism the last twice (chase debut latest) and plenty more to come. Up in trip but ought to cope, so has to be worth considering.
Form was mixed last year and has dropped to handy mark as a result. Can go well fresh and no doubts about the trip or predicted ground, so well worth a betting check.
Won three modest chases last year and went up 19lb in the handicap as a result. Now starting to see some light and can go well after a break, so no forlorn hope. Eye catching jockey booking sure to attract attention.
Forecasts
Better Days (11/4), Ramore Will (11/4), Fight Commander (7/2), Upbeat Cobbler (11/2), Heroes Or Ghosts (8/1), Court Dismissed (11/1), Theatre Mill (25/1)
BETTER DAYS represents a yard with a good healthy strike-rate at this fixture and looks to have been primed for a bold attempt at expanding on the record. The gelding has very few questions to answer regarding the trip and ground, and assuming he copes with the fair nature of Kempton's chase course, he looks the one to beat. Ramore Will is enjoying his racing just now and has to be feared as a progressive type that could spoil the party, while Flight Commander is on a handy mark and would be dangerous to underestimate.
