All downhill since a decent effort at Ayr in August (½L runner up to Maulesden May). Not beaten a single rival in his last two starts, one of which was in a seller. Needs more.

Not in quite the same form that he was earlier in the year when a two time C&D winner (beat Diamond Runner and Hussar Ballad in June), but perhaps the trip has been against him on his last three starts. Respected.

Solid on turf over the summer months without quite managing to get her head in front, but had shown signs of going off the boil more latterly until much sharper in finishing fourth on her AW debut at Chelmsford latest (1m2f).

Unable to land the hat-trick when last seen in action at Pontefract in July and returns from a short break. Up another 3lb since, so that's 9lb above her last winning mark. C&D winner for Garry Moss in February.

A winner over 1m4f at Wolverhampton in early September, but just unable to cope with a slightly higher mark since. Beaten comprehensively by Archipeligo over C&D in June (third), but much better off at the weights tonight.

Cost 40,000 gns as a yearling and has suggested that he has more to offer in a trio of turf maidens during the summer months (Redcar and Doncaster). Of interest if market support arrives on handicap and AW debut.

Has form at this track over a variety of trips, but her sole AW success came over C&D in November. Left David Thompson after scoring at Redcar in June, and should pay his way for his new trainer at some point.

Scooted clear to score by 4½L over C&D last month (beat Champagne Pink), but couldn't follow up under a penalty at Lingfield when clashing with fellow improver Scoones. Bold showing expected despite a higher mark.

Showed improvement on his second start for this stable last week when just under 2L fourth to Chinese Spirit at Ayr (1m1f heavy). Switched to the AW now, and a possible player if staying this longer trip.

Beaten 7L by Archipeligo over C&D in June (Hussar Ballad third), but has won twice since then on turf at Nottingham and Redcar. His most recent couple of efforts haven't been overly enticing, but admittedly came on soft ground.

Well treated on his past turf form, but hasn't won since 2014 (1m1f at Hamilton). Solid enough this time last year, but exasperating throughout 2017, and has very limited AW experience (fine on Tapeta).

Won just once in 25 career starts (for Gay Kelleway in early 2016), but respectable enough of late in low grade Scottish turf handicaps.

Had three quick runs in maidens last autumn, including twice over 7f at this track. Shaped as if he needs further, but has a wide berth to contend with on his belated reappearance and handicap debut.

Forecasts

My Brother Mike (7/2), Chartbuster (9/2), Konig Hall (9/2), Archipeligo (11/2), Celestation (15/2), Infamous Lawman (9/1), New Abbey Angel (10/1), Hussar Ballad (16/1), Exclusive Waters (16/1), Diamond Runner (16/1), Bahamian C (22/1), Beauden Barrett (28/1), Kicking The Can (33/1), Hediddodinthe (50/1)

Verdict

Chartbuster is potentially an interesting proposition on his handicap and AW debut, and any market support for the Julie Camacho trained Mastercraftsman three-year-old could be worth following, but it is Konig Hall and MY BROTHER MIKE who hold the most obvious claims. The former makes the trip over from Ireland where he has shown consistent form for a number of months now, and this is probably his optimum trip. However, My Brother Mike was a striking winner over C&D last month, and he shouldn't be knocked for being unable to follow up under a penalty at Lingfield a week later (met the progressive Scoones). Whilst 7lb above his last winning mark, he's fancied to win again.
