Drops slightly in class here but has looked held by the handicapper in her recent performances and none of her very best races have been run on AW.

Peak Princessb20
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-8| J: S M Levey| T: R Hannon| OR:  87| CD
12/1
C&D winner in August who hasn't been able to replicate that form the last twice. Return to AW seems wise (though she does act on turf), but she needs to return to her best here.

By far her most encouraging performance in a handicap came last time out when beaten just a neck at Newmarket. Raised 3lb here but handles the track and may well be able to go close again.

May have found her handicap ceiling since achieving a hat-trick during June/July; still 8lb above her last winning mark and held by 4L+ the last twice.

First Dance20
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-2| J: L Morris| T: J Tate| OR:  81| CD
10/1
C&D maiden winner who was well-beaten off this mark on handicap debut at the end of last month but should be suited by the return to this surface.

Currently 7lb higher than when winning well at Sandown two starts ago, not so good at Ascot latest but remains lightly-raced and could easily progress further.

Yellowhammer82
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-0| J: K Shoemark| T: H & R Charlton| OR:  79| D
5/2
Hat-trick seeker who has already established herself as a specialist over this trip continues to progress. Up 3lb for victory last time but every chance she can improve past her new mark.

Jersey Breeze49
Age: 4|  Weight: 8-12| J: J F Egan| T: M R Channon| OR:  75

Dual winner over shorter during the summer but has looked a doubtful stayer over this trip the two times she has previously attempted it and is best watched.

Broganp17
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-12| J: R Kingscote| T: Tom Dascombe| OR:  77| D
16/1
Yet to win so far this year but has been running mostly sound races, and seems well suited by this trip. Only previous run on Polytrack proved inconclusive as to her effectiveness on it.

Aquamarina19
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-12| J: M Harley| T: R Brisland| OR:  77| D

A winner over this trip at Newcastle before finding herself firmly outclassed in Listed company latest. Should find this a much more suitable assignment and a return to form a possibility.

Castle Hill Cassie29
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-12| J: Oisin Murphy| T: B Haslam| OR:  77| D

Up 5lb for victory at Newcastle last time out but continues to progress and is partnered by this particular top jockey for the first time.

Remains a maiden but has been beaten less than a length on three separate occasions. Held in maiden company at Chelmsford latest but return to this C&D rates a positive; one for the shortlist.

Winner of a weak Salisbury maiden in April but hasn't been able to build on that since, despite running some nice races. Drop back to this trip seemingly made little distance last time out.

Yellowhammer (5/2), Crafty Madam (5/1), Narjes (8/1), Parlance (8/1), Aquamarina (8/1), First Dance (10/1), Harba (10/1), Peak Princess (12/1), Rose Berry (12/1), Castle Hill Cassie (14/1), Brogan (16/1), Rebel Surge (20/1), Snow Squaw (25/1), Jersey Breeze (66/1)

Verdict

Yellowhammer is lightly-raced and on a hat-trick and is sure to be there or thereabouts, but PARLANCE is narrowly preferred. Sir Michael Stoute's charge took her form to a new level with an excellent run in a competitive Newmarket handicap last time, beaten only a neck in the end despite showing some issues with her temperament. As she learns with experience, she seems sure to capture a prize of this nature in the near future. Aquamarina should also run well now dropped back from Listed company.
