Useful when trained by John Gosden, yet to score for this yard but commendable second last week over this trip at Redcar in a Listed contest on good to soft. More of that gives him a chance despite top weight.
Enjoyed a good season in 2016 and holding his form well again this year, regaining winning habits at York (7f, good to soft) in July. Capable of having his say having got 2lb relief now.
Three-time 7f winner also effective from 6f to 1m2f. Not disgraced on first attempt on heavy ground latest over 1m at Haydock. In good form lately and this thoroughly likable individual should run well on first visit to this track.
Winner on his 18th attempt this year at Chelmsford penultimate start and his very best form has all come on the AW. Capable of running well on turf and he's ground versatile so can't be dismissed, but poor last month at Ascot (7f, good to soft).
Two wins from five turf starts this year since joining current yard, latest over 6f (good to soft) at Pontefract in July. Stamina no concern but yet to suggest he'll win from mark this high.
Lightly-raced Dubawi colt comes here bidding for hat-trick, better than ever when scoring over 7f (good to soft) on return to turf at Yarmouth last month. Up in class but potentially more to come off 5lb increase.
Rattled off a hat-trick last year and not disgraced on two starts this season. Still lightly-raced and could yet progress again but was underwhelming when last spotted at Ascot in July (7f, good to soft). This is less demanding.
Had won three of his six starts this year and placed on the other three outings before flopping in ultra-competitive Ascot handicap in July (7f, good to soft). Given a break since and may get back on track now.
Largely out of form this year but took step in the right direction at Ripon (6f, soft) late last month when 2½L fourth of 14 in Class 2 event. All bar one of seven career wins have come over 6f.
Nine wins from 52 career starts and has been an excellent servant to connections in doing so, no win in over two years but some positive signs in two most recent outings, both with give in the ground. One of two for trainer here and not ruled out.
Won over 7f at Thirsk in August off 3lb lower mark, but well held in four starts since, including last month when adopting front-running tactics at Yarmouth. Others looks to have more in their favour.
Gained second of two career wins over 1m1½f at Goodwood in June 2015. Has offered up his best stuff very fleetingly since and would most likely want a sounder surface than is forecast. Safest to look elsewhere.
Forecasts
Big Tour (3/1), Lualiwa (6/1), Get Knotted (7/1), Muntadab (8/1), Fawaareq (9/1), Heaven's Guest (9/1), Von Blucher (11/1), Masham Star (14/1), Right Touch (16/1), Robero (20/1), Theodorico (25/1), Lat Hawill (33/1)
BIG TOUR has thrived lately over this trip and produced a career-best to score last time out at Yarmouth, he's up another 5lb now and but is progressing and can defy the assessor by completing his hat-trick in the Godolphin blue. The first-time cheekpieces brought some improvement from Von Blucher at Redcar recently and a replication of that effort puts him in contention while Lualiwa, in fine fettle earlier this year, is very much one to note having been given a short break. Muntadab and Robero are others to bear in mind in a competitive heat.
- Big Tour
- Lualiwa
- Von Blucher
