Remains without a win after 14 starts, but shaped well when a staying-on fifth of 1 1 off 2lb lower over 6f at Epsom last time. Stays this trip and has run creditably on soft ground.
Blinkered for the first time when third of 11 at Ffos Last on latest outing. The headgear remains, but he has to cope with a 2lb higher mark which seems a little harsh.
Behind Rolling Dice when fifth at Ffos Las, but is better off at the weights. Suspicion is that he may be more effective on a sounder surface.
Won on soft over 7f at Thirsk in August, last year, but has been completely out of form this season. Has tumbled down the weights and is 6lb lower than when last successful, but needs to show a spark.
Has run well, including when winning, on his last three starts over 1m2f. Drops back 3f, but has the speed for this trip and has won on soft ground. Should be thereabouts.
Down the field in three maidens as a juvenile and now goes handicapping on his belated seasonal reappearance. Not an obvious contender, but the possibility of improvement from two to three cannot be ruled out.
Not at his best on recent outings, but is now only 3lb higher than when last successful at Brighton in June. Will handle the going and would be seriously considered if latest runs were more encouraging.
Won over 6f at Nottingham two starts ago and is only 3lb higher. Has never won over this trip and the going will test his suspect stamina.
Has competed in 106 races, winning nine times. Not at his best since joining his current stable and is on a long, losing sequence.

Forecasts
Topology (5/2), Edge (7/2), Rolling Dice (11/2), Live Dangerously (6/1), Misu Pete (13/2), Captain Marmalade (10/1), Iceaxe (12/1), Kaaber (12/1), Sixth Of June (33/1), Head Space (50/1)
Not as competitive as the first division of this handicap and the vote goes to EDGE, who has been running over further, but has the speed for this trip and may outstay his rivals on going which will place an emphasis on stamina. Top weights Topology and Rolling Dice may give him most to do, although Live Dangerously would be a serious threat if returning to form.
