A consistent sort who has run well in handicaps this year and got off the mark in this sphere last time doing well to win having not got the run of the race. Given a 5lb rise for that run but remains of interest given the last run.

Ran some very creditable race this year for Richard Fahey without getting his head in front and now has his second run for his current yard. Failed to improve on his first outing for this yard and overall he's been a little disappointing and could come up short here.

Showed some good form when winning at Doncaster to land his first handicap doing well in a race that wasn't run to suit. Still looked as though he was on a good mark last time but found the 1m2f trip in soft ground to testing; still of interest.

Showed what he could do last time out when given a strongly run race (still takes a while to knuckle down early) last time when winning over C&D off a 6lb lower mark last time. Takes a rise in class here and could well be up to this level.

Thriving sort at the moment who has won his last two races although he would have been greatly advantaged by conditions and run of the race last time at Epsom. Faces a stiffer test now of a 5lb higher mark and needs a career best to land this.

Landed an Ayr maiden earlier in the year over 6f and looked to have been handed a workable mark for her handicap debut after three months off. That return to action came on heavy and she probably needs better ground to show her best.

Three wins this year represent a good return although this grade and some progressive types will test him here as they did on his last run at Musselburgh. The handicapper may well looks to have him now off 77 and others have more chance now.

Now steps back to the distance that he won his maiden over on the AW when with John Gosden. Never quite realised his potential for that yard and has only had one attempt at a mile for his current yard and didn't look himself last time out at Haydock.

Verdict

A really decent bunch of three-year-olds go to post for this handicap which should produce winners into the last few weeks of the season. Of the last time out winners Heatongrad looks the most vulnerable as conditions really looked to suit last time out when getting the run of the race and conditions don’t look as favourable here off a higher mark. Mushaireb has the potential for much better now that he is learning to settle but all season long THE GRAPE ESCAPE has run with credit and he’s proved himself at this level and could well have further improvement left in him. Me Too Nagasaki remains one to be interested in especially back in trip with the remainder of the field looking to have to improve to take a hand here.
