Sequence of near misses broken when down the field on soft ground at Redcar latest. Has won at Newcastle and acted well at Chelmsford, so decent claims if he can extend his versatility to this right-handed track (has won at Beverley on turf).
Handicapper has cut him plenty of slack of late but to no avail. Recent form has done little to suggest he's not on the downgrade and hard to fancy here.
Holding his form well and still on a handy mark despite a couple of wins at Wolverhampton this term. Never raced at this course before but has acted well on all the other AW tracks, so place claims at least if he adapts.
Gone close at this course in the past but latest visit left a lot to be desired and comes here with plenty to prove. Rider's 7lb claim helps at the weights but still looks a risky option on recent form.
Just one win to his name and form since joining his current yard is uninspiring. Also finished last on his only previous run at Kempton, which increases the thought process to place others higher as a priority.
Acted well on his only previous visit to this course and comes into this on the back of a sound effort at Chepstow. Sound claims if using that as a platform.
Maiden winner here last August but not added to that in 11 subsequent starts -the latest of which have been pretty average performances. Still unexposed on the AW but a lot of faith required.
Been highly progressive of late and very feasible he can brush aside a 3lb higher mark than for last month's C&D win. Leading contender.
Sole win came over 6f at Brighton but does cope with this extra furlong and not without claims on the pick of his form. Another that needs to prove himself on the surface though.
Closely matched with Otomo but this is his time of year and he may well have a little more to offer. Still needs to better his recent efforts and hasn't been so good since leaving William Haggas to join his new trainer.
Place claims on the pick of his form but was well held by Daring Guest over C&D last month (admittedly he was denied a clear run on that occasion, so could be significant if supported to this time). Risks attached.
C&D winner that represents one of the shrewdest operations in racing. Long absence to overcome but did well for his former trainer, Andrew Reid, and noteworthy he is still in the same ownership. One to monitor carefully.
Not won since his racecourse debut but sign of a revival when second on debut for his current trainer over 1m here last month. The drop in trip shouldn't be much of an issue and, with Spencer on board, another late play can be expected. Shortlisted.

The betting will be all important here as it's unlikely there will be any chances taken with Exit Europe, who may well have been plotted up for this long awaited racecourse return. The Prescott horse may well be worth a saver but there are also solid grounds for expecting more from the in-form DARING GUEST, who is in great heart just now and just edges a narrow vote of confidence. Balgair could have the race run to suit and is also feared ; while supporting Bounty Pursuit and Vincenzo Coccotti to make the frame at reasonable odds could be a source for a returns.
