Enjoys getting her toe in and is putting together a decent CV, having won twice with cut and also once over C&D. Has been held from just 1lb higher in her last two starts, so might need to pull out a bit extra to defy top weight.

Dual course winner, the latter over C&D in August from just 2lb lower than today. Handles soft ground, though has yet to win with any cut in the description, and will need to improve a bit to win again at this level.

Scored over C&D (good to soft) in August from a 4lb lower mark and didn't appear to handle very testing conditions at Carlisle last time. Has had a number of chances from this sort of mark previously and not easy to envisage him being good enough.

Recorded his first of eight wins in 2011 over this C&D. Acts well with cut in the ground and although his form this term has been a few pounds below last year, you couldn't confidently rule him out after a decent effort from 1lb lower last time.

Loves it here and has won the last two renewals of this. Goes well on softer ground and although not really figuring this term, he is now 4lb lower than last year's win and could have a big say again.

Has some good form over C&D, though yet to win at this venue. Of more concern is that he has never won on anything other than good to firm ground, though he is on a handy mark and merits respect in this field.

Completed a hat-trick at around this trip last autumn and although he has not won this year, he has bettered those performances a few times, including on good to soft at this venue in August. Still on a good mark and should be thereabouts.

Is dropped 2lb going into this, which might help him get more competitive than last time out. Handles good to soft, though all of his winning form has been on a sound/fast surface, so will need to raise his game.

Stays 1m1f, the trip over which he last won in June 2016, when 5lb higher. Acts well with cut in the ground and tuned up for this with a decent effort over C&D from today's mark last time. 7lb claim will help and he has an each-way squeak.

Ended a losing run dating back over four years when scoring over Doncaster's straight mile last time out (soft) from a 1lb lower mark. Had gone well here the time before, though this is tougher and he may find a couple too good.

Has won three of his last six since July, including on both soft and heavy ground. Raised 5lb for the last of those, at Carlisle, and will need significant improvement to follow-up in this better contest.

Forecasts

Rashford's Double (7/2), Khamaary (11/2), Zodiakos (7/1), Off Art (8/1), Ventura Secret (8/1), Father Bertie (8/1), Woody Bay (9/1), Silvery Moon (12/1), Palmerston (12/1), Mon Beau Visage (14/1), Zeshov (33/1)

Verdict

Tim Easterby has won four of the last 10 runnings of this and gives himself four more chances of success today, including Father Bertie, who has won the last two runnings and is back here on a dangerous mark after a poor run of form. He probably represents the trainer's best chance of success again, although Silvery Moon should also be involved. Palmerston is on a good mark, though there have to be doubts about him winning on this ground and the suggestion is RASHFORD'S DOUBLE, who is also on a handy mark, goes well on the ground and this could just be his time of year. Khamaary rates a danger.
