Has won three times this year at up to 1m4f but August efforts at Goodwood and Bath were very underwhelming. Yet to show progress in three runs for this yard and others appeal more today.

Showed some decent form early this year on AW and turf but mare not quite in same mood since midsummer return. Not far off however and she continues to drop down the weights.

Nine-race maiden now but two most recent runs on turf at Windsor and Leicester have been positive (runner-up both times) and will have a big say if seeing out this extra 2f.

Lightly-raced and has won two from five on turf so far, including last time at Chepstow (1m4f, soft). Up another 6lb and facing longer trip but not certain to be halted and both wins have come with give in the ground.

Now ten-years-old and not won for close to two years. Four Flat runs lately leave plenty to be desired and isn't hard to look elsewhere at the moment. Drops in trip.

Mare won twice last year over this sort of trip, best effort this term came here on penultimate start when settling for second over 1m4f having been sent off favourite. Very poor run since at Newbury is a concern.

Six wins from 30 starts on turf, scored on reappearance at Brighton (1m2f, good to firm) in April but hasn't look like adding to the tally in seven outings since. Up in trip and does act on soft.

Winner of a Yarmouth maiden (1m3½f, good to firm) in April on second start but has flopped badly in all three runs since. First time tackling this far and is hard to fancy on form.

Winner over 1m½f at Windsor in September 2016, has run quite a few decent races at up to 1m3f on turf/AW since without getting head in front. Has to prove stamina for this trip in likely testing ground.

All four runs have come on the AW, decisive winner of 1m2f Lingfield maiden in May then tailed off over 1m3f on handicap bow at Kempton next time out. Likely can prove that running to be all wrong in time, one to monitor on turf bow.

Gelding delivered much-improved effort last time at Chepstow in August to win 1m4f good ground handicap, needing every hard to get head in front. Up 6lb for that, back up in trip.

A maiden after 11 starts but showed some promise last time in 2m½f Lingfield turf handicap, doing well to finish 2¾L third of five having raced keenly early on. May do better in a bigger field.

Ten-race maiden, unable to make a great impact for Richard Hannon and pair of AW efforts at Kempton for this handler don't inspire confidence today will be the breakthrough.

Filly is a maiden after eight starts but showed potential last time when tackling this trip for the first time on soft ground at Lingfield (2L second of eight). Up 2lb but has potential to build on that over this distance.

Forecasts

Lester Kris (3/1), Incredible Dream (7/2), Perla Blanca (9/2), Fields Of Fortune (7/1), Murchison River (9/1), Quothquan (14/1), Cousin Khee (14/1), Roy Rocket (25/1), Onorina (25/1), Southern States (25/1), Safira Menina (33/1), I'm Running Late (50/1), Investigation (50/1), Retrieve (66/1)

Verdict

Chepstow winner Incredible Dream should once again go well over this longer trip and with soft ground not a concern, the 6lb penalty isn't certain to ground his ambitions. Likewise, Murchison River was successful at the Welsh venue in August and should be in the mix again despite the ratings rise. Still a maiden, Lester Kris has been runner-up at Windsor and Leicester and can breakthrough soon but another maiden, PERLA BLANCA earns the nod having finished second at Lingfield previously on her first attempt over this trip. That came on soft ground and if she builds on the run, she should be in the firing line again.
  1. Perla Blanca
  2. Incredible Dream
  3. Murchison River
